I remember reading an old newspaper article from around the early1980s and it was about some boxing writers award for the best British young prospect for that particular year. The four candidates shortlisted were Frank Bruno, Mark Kaylor, Barry McGuigan and Keith Wallace. That was the 1st time that I think I heard Kaylor’s name being mentioned. RIP Incidentally, I think it was Keith Wallace that actually went on to win that award. What ever happened to him?
Wallace certainly looked good early on, pretty sure was one of Frank Warren first stars, but was rushed into a fight with tough Antoine Montero for the EBU crown where he took a real pasting. Career never really recovered. Unfortunately died of cancer at age 38. This content is protected
Posted about Mark on other threads But above had no idea Keith Wallace had died and 25 years ago RIP too Keith
