    Watched a lot of his fights growing up. Truly good boxer and great trainer. He’ll be missed

    Awe, So sorry to hear this, I enjoyed watching him fight, he was vey good boxer with awesome power. Never heard a bad word about him either. Good guy!

    Saw Roger Mayweather fight Julio Cesar Chavez in Inglewood, California during the 1980s. Chavez's defense may have not been that good, but he could cut off the ring well and was an accurate, economical puncher while telling blows to the head and body. Mayweather had good skills and was a good puncher, but wasn't that durable. RIP, Roger...

    I saw Roger at the Olympic Auditorium. He stopped one of the Bejines brothers in the 6th round and I was in the 8th row ringside. This was when he was the Mexican Assassin and would wear a sombrero to the ring. That was the build up to the second Chavez fight.

    RIP
    He was the Mexican Assassain at one time. Enjoyed his fighting style. He was entertaining and down to Earth.
