Yeah thats true. I always have a chuckle when he says it though. His Boxing knowledge on the mechanics of the sport is very good.

He's rationing himself at the moment, I've noticed a marked decline in its useage.

Woodhall is boring and sapps all the excitement out of a fight. He was a Euro level paper champ at best in his boxing days.

he's toned it down a bit, believe you me

the man's a great commentator/analyst very informative and technically very knowledgable, an education to listen to plus he makes shite blow-by-blow commentators bearable

just an all round good guy and the best up and coming trainer in the UK

    not having that

he was a good fighter, technically very good, good jab and just a solid fight game

he was hampered with an elbow injury and still picked up a strap, he was no worse then carl froch who i think he beats in respective primes

its not his job to get excited, he's a co-commentator and he does at the right time

Woodhall was a very good boxer and borderline world class. Never a true champion in my eyes which was confirmed when he lost to Beyer who was also a B-level/ Euro level fighter with a belt.

I respect Woodhalls knowledge on the game and he is not the worst commentator but I would only use him for low key events and never for mega fights.

Better than Paul Williams saying 'know what I'm sayin'?' at the end of every sentence .

I think Woodhall was genuine world class (ie around top 10 in the world at his weight), he picked up an elbow injury that serverly affected his performances.

He's probably my favourite "colour" commentator (along with Hernandez).

He landed alot of right hands on Calzaghe that night and put in a good performance. Most fighters of his calibre would be proud of that performance.

    Believe you me.
