Even with far less experience, right now I would go with Ritson because I don't know if Crolla could "get up" for a Ritson fight, it's a little bit of a comedown, Linares to Ritson.

I'm not saying Crolla isn't a top professional and I'm sure he would approach it like every fight but we're would he get that spark from? What is to be gained? What is there to prove?

Ritson has it all to prove, gain and is buzzing at the moment and has momentum.

Ritson sparks Crolla. I'm a manc and a Crolla fan, lovely guy is Crolla but Ritson has far too much strength and power. Crolla doesn't have the power to keep Ritson off him. Personally I think it's over within 6.

It's easy to jump on the bandwagon when Ritson's steamrolling all these British level fighters. We need to see how he'll do against someone above that level and Crolla has definitely proven to be.

Crolla's crippled fighters at fringe world level with body shots so he can't be that feather fisted can he. Ritson's defence isn't the best either but it hasn't had to be in fairness.

I’d favour Ritson but not as easy as people are making out.

This fight aint happening anytime soon but if it did i think theres still question marks around Ritson when we talk about him fighting Crolla.
Ant has a lot of experience fighting at the top level and has overcome or in the very least, has had to deal with many a style and situation.
Dont forget what Ant did to Barrosa who had a reputation for banging at world lvl.
We dont know how Ritsons power carries through the rounds against a clever fighter who can draw the fight out of you. And in the barrett fight his power did seem to be subdueing somewhat but obviously Barrett just wasnt built to cope with what Ritson brought although hes done the best put of all thats challenged ritson recently.
I love this guy Ritson and would really like to see him do well.
As has been mentioned earlier he does some of the basics well but he also misses out on some of them. He is susceptable in a shootout when u start moving up lvls. His chin comes up and his centre of mass rises which are the two things you dont want to be happening in a shootout, it just happens that hes had the past 3 fighters in a weaker position than himself when its come to this. maybe not including Cardle in the first rd.
Ritson has the potential to be one of our graetest fighters of a generation if hes handled properly but i certainly dont think hed do to crolla what hes done to the past 4

I agree with a lot of what you’ve said. What I will add though is that win against Barroso was one of my favourite fights of 2016...but putting it into context, Barroso had got used to knocking everyone out and had never fought beyond 10 rounds. He was blasting everyone out and clearly shot his load early on and gassed terribly. Unlike Barroso (who lost his last fight too), Ritson is economical with his shots and wears down his opponent quite methodically.

That is exactly what i was refering to 20, youve just described it better (as usual lol). What ur talking about is temperament. Barrosa was too confident, so was selby against warrington and this is an aspect of the fight game. Theres many attributes that make up the complete fighter and what happens when things arent going your way and how you deal with that, is heart in the face of adversity.
Theres still questions to be answered about lewis ritson, thete is also technical abilities to be adressed.
Banging people out so quickly can be detrimental some times and if the purpose of his plan is to win fights, which it goes without saying, is. Then getting some rds in against someone that can box and has a bit of pop, enough to make lewis think twice about marauding forward throwing leather, is what id be looking for now if i was training/promoting him. Even someone that will give him the rds is a good start,

Makes it even more dangerous for Crolla if he does take the fight and has no 'sparkle.' Nothing worse than not being up for a contest against an opponent who will be constantly on you.

I agree completely, I honestly believe that would happen.

Crolla has had a long career, fought at the top level and it would be a bit of a comedown to go back to what would be domestic/European level.

I've heard a lot of fighters say it over the years about struggling to get up for fights late in their careers.
