Actually, the same goes for Utría representing Colombia - hoping to catch that next flight to Riyadh alongside Sinisterra.

Wilcox actually had a good run in the amateurs... Ontario silver gloves champion, and had several good victories over guys like Stephen Ryan (IRL) and current 14-0 prospect Luis Santana.

Just not the right temperament for the pros. He allowed everything Utría did to discourage him more and more with each round.

Reckon this is a shutout.

Slugfest! This definitely favors Cabrera.

 

Seems like a really bad idea for the Uzbek to go to war in the pocket with the Mexican.

Tursunov has ten combined pro & IBA Pro bouts, and just two stoppages.

 

Not sure what the stage-to-stage fight purses are, but the Sulaimán Trophy winner gets a 200k cash prize as well.

So all told probably in the vicinity of a quarter mil plus a ton of exposure on DAZN (and experience against fellow prospects). Not too shabby a brass ring to reach for.

 

Point deducted from Tursunov for going low. He'd already had warnings. That pretty much dooms him, IMO.

 

30-26 on my card for Cabrera. Tursunov basically needs a second half KO now.

 

Oh man...Lozan vs. Cabrera is going to be such a classic (almost caricaturial) boxer vs. puncher match-up.
