Nkosi shoveling underhanded rights on the body or tossing high 1-2s. Priolo throwing minimum 3, sometimes 4 or 5 punch combos - much of it halted by Nkosi's guard, but much not.

Nkosi with a big knockdown in the 4th! He smacked Priolo's gloves aside with a lumpy left hook and then ripped him across the face with a roundhoues right.

    WBC open scoring:

    39-36 x3, unanimous for Nkosi.

Priolo is cooked, in other words. He still loses even if he wins the last two rounds 10-9.

Nkosi swarming in the 5th, maybe winning the workrate battle...but neither landing much clean.

Priolo walks Nkosi against the ropes, lowers his center of gravity, and throws a double hook at the body with maximum torque. Good sequence but he then follows Nkosi around the ring, walking onto jabs and uppercuts. Priolo with a good overhand right, however! Nkosi winging uppercuts with either hand to get off the ropes, now they stand at mid-range and jab each other in the mush before colliding and arm-wrestling. Seesaw momentum throughout the final round.

Respectable last effort but time running out for Priolo, as this one's academic unless he can pull a rabbit from his hat and score a KO.

Adeniji's crazy tall for the weight class. Neither has a height listed on BoxRec, but Valverdé Jr. looked to be about eye to eye with his last opponent, Oleksandr Solomemnikov (who is 5'7").

Adeniji's gotta be pushing six foot...at 126lbs. Nutso.

Flash knockdown early by the Nigerian southpaw off a quick right hook!

Wait, no. Erdman says it won't be ruled a knockdown. Indeed, seems as though Laurence Cole treated it like a slip/trip. Will need to see a replay on that.

Damn. They've been a bit lax in the whole tourney on fighters making the supposed weight limit (oftentimes missed by a pound or two) but Valverdé came in 133¾ for the Solomemnikov bout. Yikes, blew straight past the feather and super feather ceiling and damn near past lightweight. :scared1
