@IntentionalButt do you know by any chance if this WBC Grand Prix tournament is doing the same thing for next year?

Its a good idea IMO and helps gives fighters a chance whom they may not have had the opportunity yet.

    Round 1

Mejía Mosqueda is calmly stalking. Maitse unfurling a long slow right jab, getting a feel out. Mejía Mosqueda is thinking it over, looking for a way in to deliver a heavy payload. Maitse staying tall, increasing the snap on his southpaw jab as he gets more comfortable at range. Mejía Mosqueda is unable to get in at the 90 second mark, but makes a slight adjustment - feinting high and then ducking in to his right to score a grazing body shot. Maitse churning the air with his jab. Mejía Mosqueda dashes in and slashes a hook across the chest, maybe catching a slight piece of the bottom of Maitse's chin. Triple jab by Maitse trotting out in a spiral, nearly getting trapped in a corner.

    10-9 Mejía Mosqueda, close

I hope so, this has been a really fun ride. At the start of the year I didn't know any of these guys, and now have become a big fan of several.

Maitse boxed well for most of the second but got badly rocked at one point.

Someone needs to smack Barry Jones around, he's way too goddamn impressed by movement.

Mosqueda closing the distance effectively now, getting him along the ropes dropping bombs. Maitse stunned by a body shot.

Ironically, Mosqueda already cuts the ring off far more effectively than Canelo ever has.

They threw a 16 year old Mejía Mosqueda in with a 25 year old Emanuel Navarrete for sparring? Even as overrated as Vaquero is, that is just sadistic!
