He wouldn't beat Lewis, but what if he had gotten the megafight with Tyson after Ruiz? He'd have a very good chance of winning that, but wouldn't be too legacy-enhancing.

Maybe it's just me, but I think Tyson would kill him. Although I must admit I don't remember how Tyson was looking those days. But still Tyson would still be too much for him.

Roy weighed 193lbs for Ruiz & apparently that was with weights in his pockets! Lewis weighed 240/250lbs. He would have obliterated Jones!

 

In a hypothetical, yea...he would have been at least top 10 for me.

By then he would have had close to 50 fights and dominated most. The vulnerabilities he showed late in his career bring him down quite a bit. But H2H prime for prime, he's one of the best.

 

Lewis would probably have killed him, but if he did somehow pull it out, then yeah sure why not have him as number 1?
