NO, Jones is shot to ****.

His whole style back in the day relied on his hand speed and his reflexes.

His speed is there.....But his reflexes are GONE....with out them he is a sitting duck, he just lays on the ropes and covers up and gets pounded.

It's very sad to watch him fight now, anyone who thinks he still has some left is blind.

I agree with the fact jones' style completely counts on his reflexes and speed, which are the first things to go as a boxer fades, which is exactly whats happening to him.

I believe he will be able to beat some B maybe even B+ opposition at this stage, at lh, but at cruiser, i see the heavier shots ending any fights he has there short. Just think, if calzaghe had the power of say, david haye, or oneil bell, what wouldve happened when jones fought him.

Did you mean CW or MW?
MW would make some sense if he avoids Pavlik and Abraham
he would have a shot at Sturm.

I don't think that Roy is a shot fighter...but he definitely doesn't have the chin to fight at cruiser.

He looks shot compared to the late nineties though.

People saying that he would have a shot at CW are more delusional than he is. They are ****in' crazy, the man couldn't KO a shot, over his weight and inactive Trinidad but he could do something at CW? Adamek would crush his skull. Jones needs to retire man..

Maybe a fight with Michalczewski? Two shot fighters, it sure would work at CW.

Better late than never : p

At one time Roy was the best p4p and cleaned out practically the whole LHW division, sure he didn't do the Michalczewski fight like he should have but he didn't have to handpick opponents then like he does now.

Michalczewski retired, I doubt he's coming back.

  11. Cruiser?

If you're shot at LHW, you're shot at Cruiser. How about he returns to heavy? Will he be HOF again? lol

He struggled with Calzaghe FFS. He's done. Just a couple more misc fights against some weak sisters to squeeze a few more dollars out. Roy would struggle with Mosley's power right now.

I know he retired, so what?

Michalczewski might do it. The guy is almost broke and even had a fight scheduled vs Ottke in Germany last year cause of it.

A "still good" Jones is far from a prime Jones.
