RJJ avoided Lennox Lewis. Does that mean he avoids Primo Carnera or Jess Willard?

Don't think there's any such thing as an 'easy ' fight when you're talking about a former MW operating - and winning - at HW.
Jones himself said how difficult the preparation was to put the muscle on. And plenty of pundits \ publications at the time were predicting him to lose.

Carnera and Willard would beat Lewis on the same night.

Carnera definitely mauls him, unless Jones has a personal bodyguard in the referee. Ruiz was an easy picking that furthermore decided not to be the usual dirty scumbag fighter he was.

No steroids back then, silly. I love how every Roid Jones discussion has a giant elephant in the room.

I'm a Pole. I will forever make a villain out of John for smothering a post-accident Andrew like he wanted to have his baby.

Seriously though, conceptualizing a certain hierarchy of fouls is definitely helpful so as to not throw all the more borderline fighters into one bag (though with a strong sense of fairness a lot will.) I always find Foreman far more excusable because he is actively making space for punches, looking for a stoppage, and the tricks he pulled were really quite skillful, otherwise you can just get nailed. Dwight Qawi was the one ugly fight I didn't appreciate because George went down with weight too rapidly and was clearly shoving excessively out of sheer exhaustion.

Holyfield's headbutts were superlatively skillful, and could cause stoppages on their own. Where do they rank in the hierarchy? :D

He belongs to the streets. Spells straight out of Zivic's book of dark magic.

Coincidentally (not?) I'm a massive sumo fan. While taking into account George's boxing background some of his tricks would likely result in a nod of approval from grapplers, and a shake of disgust from all the Journeymen92s around the globe.

IIRC, and curiously, Foreman had a point deducted for shoving at least once, and was warned for it. As far as I know, Holyfield never had a point deducted across his entire career in elite contention for his headbutts. The Journeymen92s are clearly abroad in the boxing world...

It amuses me to wonder at times whether, based on the Rahman and Tyson fights, a fight between Young Foreman and Holyfield ends Holyfield TKO 5 (cuts from "accidental" headbutt). Foreman deducted a point in the 4th for illegal shoving.

I don't think that it is entirely clear that he did avoid Lewis.

He went after Ruiz first, which is fair enough.

then by the time talk turned to a unification fight Lewis was thinking of retirement.
