I like how everyone seems to forget that RJJ was caught using performance enhancing steroids designed to increase speed and power in 2000. Every opponent he faced up untill then must feel cheated and disgusted. In one of the best runs in history, for a 4 year period no one lasted the distance with Roy Jones. Yet gets caught taking steroids in 2000 and suddenly becomes VERY ordinary. To disguise the fact that he could no longer take on top contenders because he was caught, he decided to move up to heavyweight and take on possibly the worst heavyweight champion in history, something that Hopkins and Calzaghe could have done if they had wanted to. He then moves back down after beating Ruiz to face Tarver, where he knew 100% guaranteed he was going to win if it came to a decision because the judges were on his side. As it was, they gave a decision to RJJ a complete and utter robbery. RJJ takes the rematch knowing once again that he'd get the decision if he didnt get knocked out, but Tarver catched his china chin and he gets knocked out. Same against Glen Johnson, and loses to Tarver again. Roy Jones has been exposed as the biggest fraud in boxing, should have had the same long bans as people like Justin Gatlin and Ben Johnson and been stripped of his titles and wins, like any cheater in most sports. Post-2000 RJJ would get owned by Hopkins and Calzaghe, and he knows it. TITO ko6 RJJ
It's funny because this moron doesn't even reply in his own threads. He just says something, tries to be controversial, and that's all.
Oh no, everyones angry because your hero's been proven to be a fake, here's some tissues. Roy's a cheater. He as soon as he got caught he should have had his paydays, his titles, his recognition taken off him. We now know that really he was never anywhere near the PvP rankings. If he wasnt American he would have been crucified for it.
LOL!!! Joe nor Bhop could have made the move to HW and beat John Ruiz!:rofl :rofl The rest of your post is just as funny but this one stood out the most....thanks for my morning laugh.:yep
haha clueless So when Bernard Hopkins says he's going to move up to HW to fight Oleg Maskaev most people favour Bernard yet your saying he couldnt beat John Ruiz which would be a much easier fight stylistically ? Joe could certainly do it aswell. Im taking figures from Joe Cazlaghe's book No Ordinary Joe here, he says he weighs in on fight night at around 12stone 10 to 12stone 12 which is 178 - 180 pounds for you Americans. He then says his walking around weight is 14stone which is 196lbs. He then goes on to say that his handspeed is just as fast whatever weight he is, because its his natural speed and it isnt something that he developed through training. Joe says in his book that he's actually a better fighter at LHW where he has fought before and has said he could come in at Cruiser with no problems. If his footwork is there, Joe would run rings around Ruiz to a wide UD. Hopkins would also beat him. Dumbass.
Because of Blocky's I mean YesIhavearms rep as a troll this thread is being dismissed out of hand. But it does raise some interesting points. What was the extent of RJJ's offences? Is there any proof? Is boxing too lenient on drug offenders? I'm not trying to troll or dismantle a boxers career but I am genuinely curious.
