Chris "The Hybrid" Young is trained by RJJ himself.

(Roy explains he gave Young that nickname because he is a mixture of a "Mike Tyson style, and my own style. You don't see many guys that can do both...")

Derick "Funk Nasty" Funkhouser hails from Medford, OR, and is 0-1 in both boxing and MMA.

    Round 1

Jabs traded. First real spiteful punch is from Young, a short left hook. Funkhouse tries a chopping right. Young ducks in, works a body to head combo. Funkhouser throws an uppercut, leaving himself open for a counter left hook that rocks & drops him. Young moves in, jabbing the body, and drilling upward into the chin of Funkhouser with line drive rights, knocking him into the ropes and out.

    KO1!!

Chauncy Welliver - actually looking slimmer than I'd have thought, being 5 years out of the ring - interviews Young & Jones. He says Young is a phenomenal young talent but asks if he can give the fans a little more next time by carrying his opponent. Young just shrugs and grins and says maybe. Jones thanks Funkhouser for taking on the assignment on short notice, acknowledging that he didn't have to do that. He says you don't get paid for overtime, so if the kid is getting the shots in and can get rid of his opponent - why not? :D

So this isn't Roid being embarrassed by a washed up MMA fighter with terrible boxing again.

Joshua "El Mago" Juárez is 12-0 but has never fought outside Texas (and just once outside his hometown of Laredo).

As for Cortés - remember in the card opener, how I marveled at Welch starting at featherweight and jumping up to junior middle? Well, featherweight is also where Óscar "El Ratón" Cortés - and here he is in his HW debut! Yikes!

    Round 1

Juárez jabbing and advancing with his face cupped in his palms. Cortés rocked by an overhand right, then sits on the middle rope and bounces onto the canvas. Ruled a slip but should've been a knockdown. Juárez tosses a 1-2 missing over the back as Cortés ducks but even the incidental contact of his arm on Cortés' backside almost drops him. Moments later Cortés is knocked down by a jab, and that'll be that as he stays on his knees.

    TKO1!

He was calling out Pettis for a rematch at one point, but I haven't heard anything about him making an actual comeback at 56. (nor has his name been linked to any exhibitions since Tyson)

Welliver announces a 15 minute intermission ...during which we're going to be treated to Jones and his hype man rapping.

Starting with a cover of "Let Me See It" by UGK.

Yeah.. probably best for his own sake that he stay quiet. But matches with the likes of Ibeabuchi, McCall, Briggs etc. are train wrecks hardcore boxing fans wouldn't be able to look away from.

He seems to have multiple income streams that he's able to have fun with, between the promoting, training, commentating, and rapping. I doubt he fights again unless it's a MASSIVE payday.

I'll say this, SM Bullet's breath control is pretty good. He's been kind of carrying Roy.
