Spence got in a bunch of body shots and one solid uppercut on the chin in the 6th, but it was still a close one as she got hit a lot too when she wasn't clinching.

Huh?!?!! UD for Spence? Welliver didn't even read the scorecards.

Cornejo just stands in her corner, fists on hips, expressionless.

 

I feel so bamboozled, on so many fronts. How did Spence win? ...by UD, no less? How was that for a title (WBA International) but scheduled for 6? Women's world championships are ten rounds, and the tier below that (what would be ten-rounders for men) are 8, no?

At least she was classy about it, saying that she's gotten robbed a few times in her career and she respects that people that booed have a different opinion so if Cornejo wants to run it back to prove she's the better woman, she's game.
