RJJ being natrually big, and fast, would be interesting, however, his speed would be close to Hayes, but he wouldn't have the power Haye deliveres, great as RJJ was, I see him being KO'ed by a lively fleet footed Haye, inside 5 rounds, the intial 2 or 3 rounds RJJ may have some success, once Haye lands a Hayemaker though, RJJ suffers the same fate glass Jaw Tyson, Plodding Bowe, unmotivated, sloppy Lewis, and durable but small Holyfield.... ''whack!! TIMBERRRRRRRR!!!!''
Haye smashes him, but Haye does not beat guys like Holyfield and Qawi at CW, based on their styles I would say Haye last till the going gets tough, then Haye's out of steam and gets kayoed.
Thompson was the reigning champion when Haye punched himself out, and very early in his career, I don't see his chin as being the big issue people seem to think. Maybe, against a massive HW puncher, he could be Ko'ed, but it would take a special punch, something along the lines of a Hayemaker, and I am not sure anyone else can deliver those.
Thompson was old and a post- prime fighter that Haye should have blown out, but enough of that. Lolenga Mock knocked him down silly, and I've actually spoken to Lolenga about it.. he think's David has a weak chin, but then again.. there were great fighters with weak chins so we'll have to see. He's got a weak chin though, really.
I can see Roy winning a decision here. Haye is really wild and doesn't have half of Roy's handspeed. That being said, he has 5 times the chance of catching Roy that Ruiz did, and if he clips him just right, it could all be over. RJJ by UD, but David has a good chance for a T/KO win.
I can't really argue with anyone thats actually been in with Haye, but to me he seems more easy to catch off balance, due to the way he moves more than anything, rather than chinny. Whenever he's been down his eyes have always looked fine and he's got up and kept fighting till the end of the round. I wouldn't say I've ever seen him on '***** street' except when he was gassed against Thompson. Jones would never have beaten a fast cruiser/heavy like Haye, he was better suited to outpointing slow and boring ones like Ruiz. Haye by KO around 5 or 6.
