Yes i am sure. Since when is being dominant a bad thing? Only on the forums are fighters and their wins "downgraded" for being too dominant. A dominant win where the other guy isnt competitive is much more impressive than a come from behind KO. Most fighters would rather not be behind in a fight to begin with. The funny thing is if marciano was 20% better than he actually was, and had won in a more dominant fashion against the same old ATGs that he struggled with and had to get off the floor to beat....then a bunch of people today would be picking his wins apart and pointing out and perhaps overstating how old and faded Louis or Walcott were....just like they pick apart Mayweathers or Jones' resumee because they didnt struggle enough at their peak. Only on the forums with a bunch of armchair quarterbacks do you get extra points for getting dropped by moore and struggling with walcott instead of steamrolling them like tyson did spinks and Holmes. Hint: ask any boxer amateur or pro. In no way whatsoever is it a virtue to get dropped and marked up. When youre getting bruised, cut and dropped you either did something wrong or have limited ability which you have to work extra hard to overcome. And when the other guy cant put a glove on you and youre making him look silly then youre doing something right and have better ability. Marciano was a great entertainer, maybe a great person with a ton of heart and willpower. But in no way a greater fighter than Floyd or RJJ.
Roy Jones was clearly more impressive, you're not gonna see a MW champion pick up a HW strap ever again, trust me. Also Roy Jones would of went 50-0 before the Tarver loss if it wasn't for the b.s DQ, this is why I don't really take Floyd's perfect record seriously.
What the **** are you talking about? Did I make up it being a legacy fight? Joe's Sucka Punch is a legacy technique for a reason. Marciano's baiting, patience, positioning, posture, timing, placement, and accuracy in response to it is so perfect it's used to teach for a reason. I don't think you've any ****ing clue what yer talking about and if I said Marciano's kinematic chains in that fight are the best in HW history I'm pretty sure it'd be the first time your ass ever heard of a kinematic chain but yeah Marciano should have walked through Walcott. That's not some surface level bull**** founded on semantics? that's the historical, scientific, and academic approach is it? Let me teach you something " But him old doe " is semantics. "He's used as the example of what to do in the situation and has been since he put on that performance" is not. Read a ****ing book before you pretend like you know something better than anyone else for ****'s sake. edit Archie Moore has nothing to do with this conversation. You'd know that if you knew **** balls about the subject.
