I wouldn’t watch that fight if I was offered 100 dollars let alone pay for it.

 

This is acctually a perfect retirement fight for Roy Jones jr, to go in the same way that he came out. Robbery at the olympcis and now a robbery in a professional fight.

To do a rematch would not be smart. The thing is that Roy can hardly improve any at this age and this Pettis guy is no fool, he can improve a ton by studying the footage from this first fight and then maybe even legitimately defeat Roy Jones.

 

There must have been additional behind the scenes kickbacks on top of that 700k for him to put on a shite-eating grin and pretend he was cool with that decision (setting up a possible rematch to milk it further). May have cleared a mil all told.
