    Win #60 in the bag.

Who would have thought when he got robbed of that gold in '88, that he'd still be lacing them up...

Or after he stated so many times over that he wouldn't let the sport retire him, especially after the G-Man tragedy..

I hope he doesn't fight Huck.. But If he does, I can't lie, I hope he can somehow find a way to outbox him without getting hit too hard. But I just don't see it.

He should have just flew to Germany and kicked DM's ass in Y2K.

Yeah, I dont want to see the Huck fight.

I dont mind him doing his club fighter world tour, but I dont want to see him in with legitimate, big punching cruisers at this point of his career.

I'm in Charlotte, and there were a lot of people excited about Roy being here. A week out from the card the only seats left were $325+. Roy loves fighting and the attention. Him being on the cards gets tickets sold and more exposure while building his fighters. Roy is just too savvy to be troubled by club fighters.

Roy can knock out club fighters into his 50's...

As long as it excites people and makes him some cash, I am all for it.

I just don't want to see him in against a world class puncher like Huck... Roy hasn't won at the elite level in 12 years... There is no way he needs to fight Huck.

I'm with you. Other than being old, Roy is a small guy to be fighting above light heavy. Huck is a rough ass dude and he would hurt Roy.

I think if Jones were to rematch Johnson at this point he would win. Green I am not sure about.

Johnson has fought at a much higher level and competed more successfully over the past 10 years. Johnson beats Roy with relative ease. Roy should have never lost to Green. I forgot about that embarrassment.

disagree about Johnson at this point he is shot. Jones has more in the tank.

And you'd have given him credit had he done that?

    Rico,

I like the new version of you.

It seems strange to me, but I like it.

Roy had zero interest in the CW division when he was prime. He's only interested in it now, because it's an excuse to prolong his career. Also, if he'd have wanted to have fought a CW, he'd have wanted significantly more money. HBO wanted him to fight Jirov instead of Woods, but they weren't offering much more. But after Woods he fought Ruiz which was a much bigger fight.

Below, is Roy's fight in full, from Friday night.

It offers a better perspective of where he's currently at.

I noticed he went to the ropes about half a dozen times.. If he goes to the ropes against Huck, I don't think he comes off of them.

Huck's one punch hand speed is not that bad either.. This spells disaster for Roy.

    I agree.

Why does Huck want the fight though?

What does he gain from it?

He's in a no win situation.
