Calzaghe didnt lose at all and beat Jones when he had bad hands, was semi retired and bloated

 

Leonard was the fighter that got me really into boxing.
One of my all time favourite fighters

 

In what respect? Each had different styles and I could make arguements for each in different ways

 

Surprised Loudon hasnt jumped on here

 

What attributes/skills did they have to trouble RJJ?

Didnt really want to get too involved in a long debate but in short

Michalczewski - power, great defence and boxing skills
Erdei - good speed also, grit and boxing skills
Calzaghe - hands as fast in combinations, chin/recovery powers, power when prime, awkwardness
Maske - the jab that I think would have been landing on Jones throughout

 

I think Kovalevs power would possibly win it for him

 

F Tiozzo and Rocchigiani could well be favoured also IMO

 

One that I do think would be exciting would be prime Jones vs prime Cleverly

Great hand speed from both, could see this as a very exciting fight

 

Yeah, that version of Roy in that mindset would have wanted some serious stopping.

RJJ is one of the most athletic boxers ever, even more so than Leonard. Amazing fighter in his prime who is one of the best ever.

 

Toney and Hopkins always had trouble against fast, athletic guys, and prime RJJ was the most athletic fighter ever.
