Why not just ask Green for a rematch? Where else is Green going to make that kind of money?

I really wish Roy would f*cking retire now.

 

Roy still speaks pretty well, but he is really starting to show signs of brain damage imo...

He's fixing to wind up like Ali if he keeps this charade up much longer.

 

He has no evidence so it's not going to be overturned. He can forget about it. He should try for a rematch or challenge someone else, like Glen Johnson.

Roy Jones is what got me into the sport. As a kid, it was his superhuman flash that drew me in and always made me want to see what Superman could accomplish next. I liked the clowning and the cockiness and couldn't believe someone was always seemingly at least a level better than his opposition.

Now? I have a hard time reading **** like this. While nobody could ever live up to being the fighter a kid such as myself (and tons of other fans) had him up on a pedestal as being, this is a fall that's steep and unnecessary- the Roy I grew up idolizing had people making excuses for his opponents, not coming out with loaded gloves allegations to explain away a loss. It's time for him to hang 'em up. He's got nothing to prove to anybody at this point, and I don't want to see him wind up like a vegetable.

Don't you agree with Jones being shot after Tarver 2? If you believe Lacy was shot after Calzaghe? You have to.


This is really pathetic for Jones to say this though. His ego is still too huge to accept defeat, you're not the fighter you once were, you're not superman you're 41 years old. Still love ya though.

 

Seriously man, I've tried to give Roy the benifit of the doubt when this news first hit the web...Roy's past with his loses usually are comical...I love after every defeat he seems to make an excuse...A **** poor excuse at that...After this little ordeal...I seriously hope he hangs it up! He's screwing around his legacy.

Why do you lump me in with "Jones nuthuggers"? I have never complained about Calzaghe clowning Roy, nor did it bother me.

As for the fighter of the 90's a fraud? Thats ridiculous, to get that honor you have to beat more than garbage men which Roy did.

As for masturbating to Roy clowning shot to **** fighters like Toney and Hopkins, i would rather just watch it and be thankful for the great fighter that was Roy Jones.

 

By the way, Roy's statements are pathetic, and he is my favorite fighter.
