Didn't we JUST see this happen last weekend? Stopped on a cut that was clearly said by the ref to be from a headbutt, and then mass confusion ensues where the non-cut guy (in this case López, but last time it was Yıldırım) thinks he won a TKO?!?!

Draw and immediate rematch would be perfect. They said they wanted to do 4 events a year at this venue, so it should make their lives fairly easy in terms of main event if Ximenez doesn’t have to miss too much time

Commentator has López by a point but thinks it could go either way.

These judges favored pressure all night so I’m not entirely surprised by those scores but they certainly weren’t great

    :confused::ohno

I had Lopez ahead by a point, but every round was close to 50/50. **** off with these lopsided cards.

Well, regardless of who the victor was tonight, it'll be a tough climb for either up the WBO rankings at featherweight:

    1. Genesis Servania
    2. Oleg Malynovskyi
    3. Jessie Magdaleno
    4. Joet Gonzalez
    5. Christopher Diaz
    6. Carl Frampton
    7. Ryan Walsh
    8. Erick Ituarte
    9. Nathaniel May
    10. Miguel Marriaga
    11. Luis Lebron
    12. Michael Conlan
    13. Musashi Mori
    14. Carmine Tommasone
    15. Jason Sanchez

(obviously Servania is going to drop, per his loss to Castro, in next month's updated rankings, but even so he beats either of tonight's combatants rather comfortably)

#5 Pitufo already beat Ximénez, far more convincingly/satisfactorily than López just did, and would beat him again in a rematch, and IMO would mop the floor with López. He's about to possibly get schooled by Shakur Stevenson (or expose him, jury's out), so that'll be another entry into the WBO top 15 that neither of these guys can beat. I think International title might be as far as either was destined to go. (and I say that having followed & liked Ximénez for years. Featherweight is just stacked right now...)
