Umm Mayweather talked trash about Mosley plenty because of his steroid past. Mosley decided to settle it in the ring. Pacquiao cried for 3 years then got brutally koed by a Mayweather leftover

Given what we know about roids, Floyd was right.

What you've wrote is all irrelevant.

    Yes Mosley had a past.

But Floyd has only been testing his opponents this way since Floyd Snr started the unsubstantiated rumour about Manny been on something.

Now of course Floyd's opponents don't mind be tested.

But Manny was slandered and ridiculed in public without an ounce of proof.

So you can't compare Manny not bowing down to Floyd's demands, to Floyd's opponents being tested.

    They're completely different circumstances.

Nobody wanted Manny to take any sort of test prior to Floyd Snr's outburst.

Floyd never wanted ANY of his opponents to be tested in the way that he does now.

None of Manny's other opponents like Marquez who's fought him 4 times, wants Manny to be tested in the same way.

It's clear to anyone that Floyd didn't want the fight. If it wasn't the testing there was other problems, the percentage, the PPV split etc, etc.

    Why was Floyd right?

So what if Manny got knocked out by a Mayweather leftover? I can spin it and say that Marquez knocked out the guy who Floyd was scared to face.

Funny then that after Marquez who was supposed to be old and faded kicked mannys ass his team started accussing him of taking steroids

Did marquez sue? No. He knocked manny the **** out

Floyd didnt want the fight yet during the first round of negotiations he was gonba let Manny have a 20 day grace period for testing as well as agreeing to a 10 million dollar weight penalty

    Youre delusional boy

Because since Floyd brought testing dozens of boxers have been caught doping

:nut There was no proof because he did not test. :nut

And I guess most of the other top fighters in boxing are okay with "bowing down" to each others' demands, being that they all seem to be on board with steroid testing.

Most, with the notable exception of Manny Pacquiao, of course. Has he taken a test yet? One test?

How is everything? Did you see the Bellew-Chilemba fight last weekend?

Floyd is the biggest draw in the sport though, it's not like Joshua Clottey or Shane Mosley desperate for a payday coming off losses, Floyd in his position can make those demands. When Roy was champ, he wrote a letter to the WBA to force Antonio Tarver to fight Eric Harding when Tarver was mandatory, Roy had that kind of power and so does Floyd.

Floyd entered into negotiations, and conceded to allow Manny a grace period on the drug testing, and Manny even agreed to the drug testing. The reason this fight didn't happen is because of Bob Arum, Floyd and Manny were both more than willing to fight, and where Roy offered DM $5, Floyd offered Manny $40m - career high payday

I've seen zod's links, but the point is they're entirely subjective. We hear from Roy's promotional team, and at the same time Kohl and DM's team say the opposite, so who to believe? In this kind of situation, I don't believe either. I saw that HBO wanted Darius on an undercard, but at that point Darius was not an undercard fighter, I question how genuine these 'offers' were, if Floyd asked Manny to fight on his undercard to promote the superfight that offer would be laughed at and rightly so.

If Roy wanted DM, he could have made the concessions in money and whatever to get him in the ring. What we do know, is that Roy wanted $12m which he was never going to get, he may have said it in frustration but he did say it and that's what we have to go off. When Roy wanted the rematch with Montell Griffin, he told his team give him whatever he wants, just get him in the ring.

In my opinion, both sides were as bad as each other here.

Get back to me whenever you can mate :good

    MichiganWarrior,

Funny how Manny who was an "Asian Midget" and an easy nights work, was avoided.

Did Floyd knock Manny the **** out? No he was too scared of losing his zero.

Speaking of being sued, how funny was it when the Mayweather's were taken to court for saying this.

Floyd Mayweather - 2008 "Man that dude started out at 105, and now he's fighting at 147, man that mother****er must be on something!"

I suppose Manny went to bed one night at 105, then woke up the next day at 147 right?

Oh wait a minute, I forgot. It actually took him THIRTEEN YEARS TO GET THERE!

Here's some hilarious transcripts from court:

In a statement the Mayweathers said: 'We wish to make it clear that they never intended to claim that Manny Pacquiao has used or is using any performance-enhancing drugs, nor are they aware of any evidence that Manny Pacquiao has used performance-enhancing drugs.'

The direction of the case took a turn against Floyd Mayweather Jnr last week, when the judge issued a ruling ordering him to pay £70,000 in legal fees and costs for avoiding questioning under oath from Pacquiao's lawyers.

****ing hilarious, as well as being ****ing pathetic!

    I'm delusional? Ha!

The testing was agreed to in the end. Then what happened? Manny could get 50/50, then he couldn't, then Floyd wanted ALL of the PPV money, in which would have surpassed his fight with Oscar, as the biggest grossing fight of all time, grossing anything between $150-$300m. He really wanted the fight didn't he?

And?? Why didn't he do it pre 2008? Why does nobody else want Manny tested in the same way?

    Why are you so deluded?

If Floyd went out and repeatedly stabbed someone, you'd be on here telling us that someone forced the knife in Floyd's hand, and the victim kept falling onto it etc.

    There was no proof anyway!

See my post to Michigan Warrior, and read the court transcripts.

    The difference is:

The other fighters who have bowed down to Floyd's demands, HAVE NOT BEING PUBLICLY SLANDERED, and HAD TO SUE FOR DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER!

    Do you understand???

    knockout artist,

Hiya pal, It's nice to see hear from you.

I didn't mate. I'm going to see if it's online. I don't like Bellew though to be honest.

We've discussed this many times, so I won't go into it again, and I respect your opinion on anything, you know that, even if I don't agree with you.

But Floyd offering Manny $40m was a joke. Floyd's fight with Oscar grossed $120m. The fight with Manny was estimated to make between $150-$300m based on the PPV numbers being a lot higher, and the price being a lot higher than in 2007. So Floyd wanting all of the PPV revenue, was nothing short of a joke. Sure Manny can't make $40m against anyone else, but he wasn't going to make that, to let Floyd earn more than double that amount. It also works both ways too, Floyd also can't make that sort of crazy money fighting anyone else. But again, nobody in Manny's shoes would let Floyd have ALL of the PPV money, that would be obscene. It was purposely done just so Floyd could say "look at me, I'm trying to make the fight." In reality, it was a joke!

The man to believe, was Kerry Davis, who was Sports senior vice president for HBO. There's statements from him stating that DM and Kohl weren't interested.

HBO didn't want DM on an undercard. They wanted to showcase him to the U.S. fans in a double header to promote the fight. It was a great idea. DM and Kohl turned down the opportunity and then continued to fight b class opposition in Germany.

I've told you that Roy didn't want $12m. It was said in frustration because the interviwer asked him what was happening with DM? Roy said "I don't know, I'm tired of it. They say they want it, but nothing has happened. Hell give me $12m and I'll go to Germany!"

He had no intention of going to Germany. He was however, more than willing to fight him in the U.S.

That's why he sent Brad Jacobs to meet with Kerry Davis, to try and secure the fight.

You only have to look at DM's resume to see who was to blame.

He was content doing what he was doing in Germany.

Murad Muhammad said he wanted $6m, and for an average title defence in Germany, he was earning between $1-1.5m.

You've seen the recent interview with Roy, where he states that HBO offered DM $5m.

    DM turned it down.

He turned down $5m, to fight Hall, Harmon, and De Grandis for $1-1.5m.

It seems crystal clear to me that DM didn't want the fight.

Nice debating with you again, it's been ages!

    Just reply back whenever pal.

Floyd boxing around the welterweight divisionmean he will have more names to fight as the pool is deeper there.

U can say both cherrypick. Jones didnt fight benn eubank collins and DM. Mayweather didnt fight casamayor freitasat 130, dorin grigorian or spadafdora at 135 all ofwhom were undefeated title holders at the time. He alsi didnt fight pac at 147 lest we forget.

It was pretty boring in all honesty, both guys seemed to nullify each other. I had Chilemba winning 116-114, I thought a draw was fair enough, but I can't make an argument for Bellew winning, I think he was fortunate to get the draw.

Thanks mate, if I see you've posted in a thread I always click on it to read your posts.

I see what you mean about the PPV money, the problem is we've heard so many excuses from Arum in particular, first it was blood testing, then Arum was talking about an indoor arena, it's Arum that's put out this notion that Floyd is afraid. For me, Arum has contradicted himself enough times for me to believe that money was the issue, Bob loves his in house fights, the only time in recent years Manny fought a GBP fighter was Mosley, who had to give in to the demands. I personally don't blame Manny at all, the issue is Bob Arum, who never wanted this fight from day one

Kerry Davis worked for HBO, Roy's paymasters, and would have worked with Roy, so how objective a source is he?

Is Kerry Davis the source of this?

To what extent they went to make this fight is hazy, once again I'm not willing to take Roy and his colleagues words on face value, similarly I don't take Darius' words at face value either. Here's what Darius said,

So when both sides are telling two different sides of the story, it's hard to say,

In fairness, Roy's record in this time was also dire. Darius fighting nobodies in Germany is no worse than Roy fighting guys like Frazier in Pensacola. The LHW division at that time was awful, the only relevant names were Roy and Darius

Sorry mate I don't believe a word Murad Muhammad says

Once again, that's an off the cuff comment from Roy. general zod has posted up links I've seen before where Roy has contradicted himself, it's hard to say. I respect Roy didn't have to travel, but I also question how genuine the 'attempts' to make the fight were against both parties, take a look at this
