He had it right from start to finish. Now that he has been with the HBO team for several months again I'm glad to see he is taking confident lead role as the color analyst on HBO. They need him, and he needs the new career. As for Williams. He just needs a new trainer and a new style or he should retire. The fact that at his size he can make 154 should give him an incredible advantage. He should have killed this little guy.
Yeah right. The same guy that gets knocked out in every fight as of late, looking like he might die in the ring.
This does not change the fact that Rjj was 100% right .. If this had been martinez Paul williams would be comatose right now.. William loyalty to his current trainer is dangerous, I feel these guys are going to get him seriously hurt.. But you are right also, Roy has been looking like he is inches from be knocked deader then the next mofo in the grave yard.
"But you are right also, Roy has been looking like he is inches from be knocked deader then the next mofo in the grave yard." Well, in sports the color commentator is supposed to be able to add input based on personal experience
I'm just glad Roy Jones Jr. still has faculties about him. I was really surprised to tune into the fight and hear him commentating the bout.
What I said in another thread: Quote: To me it shows that Roy Jones the Commentator is willing to speak truth about what he's seeing in the ring. Speaks to RJJ's professionalism. The problem is that Roy Jones the Fighter still hasn't accepted that reality for himself. I thought this same thing as he was speaking dead on about Williams.. Roy you need to sit yo ass down brotha..
I like RJJ as a commentator but advising Williams to retire to avoid further damage was just hilarious
