Most of the guys I've met know far more about boxing than the average Aussie that's for sure, PPV doesn't exist, so every week people wake up on a sunday morning and have fights from the US on free to air (usually starting around 9.00 am if it's a Vegas card). Chris John is treated like a god, not to the extent that Pac is in the Philippines, but not too far off.

True mate ( I was jesting ) i hold the ring Mag title higher than any ABC title Ippy like you say its not fool proof but who was touting anyone other than Nard as the man @ L/Heavy Pre Calzaghe getting his paws on said title ? its only after he beat Hopkins that the masses started proclaiming Dawson as the the greatest thing since sliced bread , before old man Hopkins schooled Pavlik it was he that was the man , the truth is mate there will always be another Lacy , Pavlik ,Dawson whoever for Joe to prove himself against . Undisputed S/Middle weight Champ & the Ring Mag L/heavyweight champion belt should suffice as testerment to Calzaghe's career but for some he will recive the respect he deserves mate . :-(

 

Yes Teke actually if you study his career since the Mitcheal fight he has had to fall back on plans B,C & D sometimes he forgets he has bad hands EG the Bika fight however after a bollocking off Old Enzo he reverted to plan , during the Hopkins fight he changed tactics a few times as well to counter crafty old ****er Slopkins, i know you got Bernie & Roys posters up in your bedroom alongside other GREATS like Mundine but give the lad his due Teke old son if , he was an Aussie kid trained by his Father in a shed up in the outback near woola****inbunnga ( or whatever these Aussie towns are called ) using a rolled up carpet as a heavy bag he would be walking around Australia with with the chants of Joe,Joe,Joe in his ears from dawn till dusk :deal Ippy its been a blast telling everyone just how good the fella can box over the years only to get abuse ,then these guys finally having to admit they were wrong about him after all . Calzaghe should be appreciated whilst he is still fighting as he will be missed five years down the pipe . a bit like Floyd really ,you don't know what you got until its gone .
