who wins this fight. the RJJ that fought RUIZ lor the haye that beat ENZO MAC. who wins this battle ?
Im fairly comfortable with the idea of RJJ beating Haye under those conditions, I'm not sure Haye could even last 12 rounds with a rugged rough-house style fighter like Ruiz . . .
uh did you even see the Jones/Ruiz fight? Ruiz was not allowed by the referee to use those roughhouse tactics. The fight was mostly in the middle of the ring and looked like a glorified sparring session. :rofl atsch
It's a question of who catches who first. Jones was significantly slower already by the time he fought Ruiz, and I suspect Haye catches him and flattens him.
Uhhh yeah I did see it. What I saw was Ruiz ineffective when he tried to bull RJJ because he was too slow to catch RJJ. I also saw Haye knocked down by an uncoordinated, past him prime Barrett, flash knockdown or not . . . Counted or not.
dam i really didn't expect so mny writting jones off like that must be his punch and height advantage
Dangerous fight for RJ for sure but I think the 195 version who fought Ruiz would probably KO Hayre or win a clear UD. I don't think Hayemaker would last 12 rds with a mauling Ruiz as he is not a flashy speedster like RJ and doesn't have his reflexes either. If Haye catches Roy clean he goes to sleep though.
Lets put this in perspective Haye is Taller the Ruiz with the same reach.... more powerful, better reflexes, and faster.... I can see Haye completey swarming Jones, and winning the fight, or waiting for Jones to try and do something and then it becomes a little more interesting, if Haye falls into this counterpunching mode... but sorry, Haye too big, too powerful to go with his speed and own reflexes. Im not saying i couldnt see RJJ pull it off... but i think Haye should win and would win.....
This is boxing, Roy is GOING to get hit, hell... ruiz hit him for gods sakes, hes not unhittable for someone as fast as haye. i dont feel he has to be hit cleanly to be stopped by Haye... i think haye could force him to the ropes (which a lot of opponents have done, in which roy covers up), unload on roy, and roy isnt durable and tough enough to survive it, or falls apart and becomes gun shy and loses the decision. my opinion...
