The Duke was 226 lbs. vs. Foreman, a typical weight for him, & 198 in his debut. I agree about almost everything else though. I believe Jones was more as a HW-but not naturally that size, & used some juice.
RJJ could not beat Pillow Fist MW Calzaghe, he is not beating Foreman, hell he would not last 5 rounds against old Foreman.
Foreman would put so much more pressure on than Ruiz. Ruiz was often stationery and certainly not moving forward near enough. He let Jones dictate almost all fight. Foreman would play the bully and move forward almost all night. He'd maul and lean in clinches and most importantly he'd be after the body throughout the fight. Foreman certainly knows how to get to the body and it's going to be at the forefront of his strategy. He's going to wear some from the speedy Jones but when Jones is leaping in and on his attacking forays he will be most susceptible to the body. Foreman's been around too long to be trying to time him to the head all night in the hope of a fight changing punch particularly when Jones can't hurt him. Sometime, likely around the sixth stanza, we will start to see Jones wilt a little due to Foreman bodywork and making him work hard (at the elevated weight) to stay out of trouble. Each round thereafter will be more and more dangerous and take more and more out of Jones. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a bodyshot that concludes the night.
I agree with everyone suggesting that body punches could ultimately see Roy off. Someone mentioned Foreman landed only a few grazing shots per round. Yeah, I’m up with that, grazing punches from Foreman would see Roy off also but I think George will land better than that anyway.
But 10 times softer. Foreman is 230lb man, 60 pounds heavier than Calzaghe and one of the hardest hiter in history. Do you think RJJ punches would bother him? That'a like 6 year old kid punching grown man.
