Big fan of both guys. Roy would be flashy and land shots. Slow George would look awkward, slow and gassed but would eventually time Jones with a monster shot and punch a hole through him. Roy was never a legit HW and it’s not fair to compare him to someone like Foreman. I couldn’t understand how George could be effective at that age and weight in his later years but the man knew how to fight. What about RHJ Hollifield? That would be a fun fight but Evander would eventually catch Roy and knock him out. Evander had a head made of solids steel reenforced granite. One of my favorites.
Not a prayer...if a child entered the lion's cage, it would be the same, no different....same if James Toney stepped in the ring with Young George.
Logical arguments are irrelevant when discussing Old Foreman. People around here actually think he would’ve beaten Wilder or 91 Tyson.
That's actually irrelevant too...that was the beloved, burger grill selling black Santa Claus George Foreman....I only talk that hurricane force marauder called YOUNG Foreman...that horror story is STILL relevant....and despite the constraints of the thread topic.
Was Young Foreman the guy who lost to Jimmy? I thought this thread was about Old Foreman since it said “come back,” but he’s had many of those.
RJJ would have no realistic chance to even survive. I am as critical of Wilder's skills & challengers as most. However he still is among the best of his time. Even if due to freakish power, also carried late-& his speed & length. RJJ would absolutely be unable to avoid the power of Wilder for too long. He would not have the strength or ability to tie him up & beat him in close like Fury-even with way shorter arms Wilder would land, & no matter how much steroids Jones took, he could not stand up to Wilder's blows. If he ran continually theoretically he could lose a wide decision. But with Wilder's speed & size, I really doubt he stays away. He could not even o an "in & out" fighting style too much-he just cannot afford to take flush shots. Start a thread about it. Although most here are very critical of Wilder, I think at least around 90% of people will pick him.
