Mundine would take it if they fought now.

Obviously if roy was in his prime it would be rjj all the way

Mundine beats Jones right now. Prime for prime and Mundine is punished brutally for emulating Jones's style and looks.

 yeah, mundine really tries hard to do mimic all the little things roy does in the ring as far as how he swaggers and holds his head and hands. hell, he even has the shaved head and little beard thing that roy does.

mundine would be killed prime for prime. but now it would be more competitve. if roy won today i would not be the least bit surprised. but if mundine won, again im not surprised. roy is a shell of his former self.

time to retire or face the real champs in his division, and not the senior tour big names.

I saw how he shaved his head and had the same beard as Roy used to as well:lol:

Agreed about Roy retiring or facing real champs/threats. He can make money off of the senior circuit, but I'd rather he retires.

Mundine hasn't fought anything like RJJ in some time. He actually fights more like a cross between Floyd and Winky Wright at the moment. Since he stopped trying to be a RJJ clone, he has improved as a fighter as well. I actually believe Roy would beat Mundine however, even at this point. Mundine's style perfectly suits him... In that he is a defensive counter puncher, who wouldn't give Roy constant pressure, and wouldn't make him fight at a fast pace. Roy is simply the better boxer, even at this age. My money would be on Roy, no question. This is a case of styles.

I think Mundine would take it.

I mean if guys like Hanshaw and 168 Tito are catching Roy and making him struggle, then Mundine would surely give him hell.

Very close though, Choc isnt a hard worker in the ring and seems these days to be looking for big shots. In Roy's backyard he would have to be pretty convicing to bag a decision fighting like that.
