Well you got the Hopkins part correct but now ask yourself how often has Jones been getting knocked out lately? There are two men in a fight.

he looks sharp, but he looks old that is for sure. But remember, Hopkins is 45 years old also and he could age overnight. Why people think Hopkins is going to easily dispatch of Jones I do not get. I am not excited about this fight really. Both are too old, but I think the fact that both are old and Hopkins is 45 means we really do not know what will happen. Does it matter really? They are not really the same fighters anymore except in name. Forget the Green fight. Jones will not be hit with that punch from Hopkins and that will not be the same fight. Hopkins cannot punch as hard as green. Think about the Jones who fought Calzaghe and Lacy against the Hopkins who fought Pavlik and Calzaghe. Who wins?

that's a great analysis. basically, hopkins will determine this fight. if he shows up, he wins, if he just tries to out box roy jones, roy will steal rounds with flashier punches, showboating, and last minute combinations to take the fight.

roy hasnt learnt a thing from being knocked out.
his training still consists of him looking good rather than working hard, or working on things. his trainers are basiclaly his entourage who scream every time he does, his padwork is basically him punching 2 or 3 times hen sitting back and posing.

right now i think roy is running purely off of reflex and muscle memory. there isnt much left. the poor guy looked abosultely terrible in that video- his eyes arent alert , his body dosent look vital and full of life. compare him with how he looked when he trained for tarver 1, gawd- he was a specimen of a human being then.

Hopkins trains, to this day, like a beast, EVERY day. he passed Roy a long time ago in terms of condition- and will take the win easy.

Rjj really looks to be pushing himself for the payday, maybe it's just my biased opinion and what I want to happen... But Roy doesn't seem very comfortable with the speed-ball or punching in the ring, double-short hooks like always, one right hand counter once in a while. Man, he even acknowledges that Bernard is expecting him to be finished, I mean to be taken physically. By the other POV, Bernard knows that Roy has a tough time moving a lot and his weakness r his legs... Seems to be according to everything that people feel... Roy wins a decision against a faded Tito, loses by a mile against Calzaghe, Bernard wins a decision against Pavlik, loses not by a large decision to Calzaghe... Roy should lose a decision against Bernard by now.

Roy Jones won the first fight b'cause Bernard Hopkins couldn't get off with a lead punch. They threw 61 jabs in the two opening rounds and landed just two! The difference was that Jones was capitalizing over the top with his flashy right and taking a lot of advantage against Hopkins' lazy left hand. When they got closer, Hopkins natural and solid combination punching inside was taking over... Roy had to triple left hook in close to get him off him. Roy Jones has no legs to keep on pot shooting from the outside all round long and inside he is all trapped, no doubts about it.

Good point thats got to be the 3rd seperate video ive seen with that happening. I notice when Roy throws a combo the other fella will copy it. Maybe its some sort of shadowing type of deal where a guy looks up to him and wants to try and learn a thing or 2. Honestly Roy is not a boxer id wanna be like unless somehow you have his god given speed and reflexes. Listen go look at Dirrell on the weekend extremly fast but cant compare to a prime RJJ that guy was totally unreal and won fights on his rare combo of speed/power and reflexes and good fighting instincts. Id love to train in a gym with Roy but id never wanna copy him the guy is one of kind its almost impossible for a guy to get away with what he did for so long and be so ****ing good at it.

:good very true, a prime rjj had amazing natural abilities. but when i train fighters, i try to get them to use there own natural gifts, not emulate someone else in hopes that it would work, if this is the case and it seems to be a real possibility, i think they are training these guys the wrong way. obviously not to many people are gonna be able to use a jones style.
