JCC 87-0. What's your point. Without the DQ and if he had retired after Tarver 1, no question. But that didnt happen.
Obviously I counted Griffin 1 as a win. Dont count it as a win fair enough but he didnt lose that boxing match. I just find it interesting how much value people place on the 0. It seems a lot of people on here rate Calzaghes resume better than Roys purely because Joes got the 0. So I thought if you compare their 2 unbeaten streaks, would the same people come out with a different answer?
Rjj had the much better resume and i'd favor his 50-0 over roys 46-0..even though it shouldn't have happened he still had the dq so u gotta take that into count!
The mind that comes up with a thread like this........ (Calzaghe hating no doubt) To answer your REAL question YES Roy has had a better career. Now Delete please.
Jones, no contest. That's being impartial, Jones's comp was stronger and the general standard of his performances was far far higher. Jones was close to victory v Griffin in the DQ, and I have seen Margarito (v Cotto) and Pacquiao (v Marquez) and many others do exactly what Jones got DQ'd for in that fight, and they didn't even get a point taken by the ref for it.
Not really. Although I dont like the man. I was just honestly shocked to see the value people placed on the 0. So I thought if you think about it as undefeated runs, it might make a better or more objective comparison.
I voted Roy Jones. I really wish all votes would be made public, what reason could anyone have for needing to hide their identity other than they dont believe in their pick.
no he didn't lol.. Jones was Dq in his first fight vs montell griffin. He hit griffin while he was down and griffin couldn't continue so jones was DQ and loss the fight. 1997 Mar. 21 -- Montell Griffin, Atlantic City, New Jersey, L DQ 9 (Lost WBC light heavyweight title)
