Pérez is scooting almost fully into a corner and then planting her feet to ambush Hamadouche with body to head flurries. Hamadouche is following her around the ring, loading up on heavy right hands, grazing. Both shipping quite a bit of leather now as they brawl at close-quarters, usually with Pérez's back against the ropes as she throws & lands more.

Round 4

Hamadouche is holding up her guard and peering between her wrists at Pérez, lots of jogging in place and posing, as the Mexican darts in & out, jumping a couple of inches off the canvas as she thrusts in a long jab and flurries off it while surfing out with the low tide. Hamadouche laying the jab on the nose of Pérez, and then bracing against her, keeping a bead on her whereabouts and setting up her aim by flipping her left elbow out and stiff-arming Pérez against the ropes. Hamadouche finding a home for the right hand as she corrals Pérez into a fixed spot.

This might steal the show today. Really good so far.

 

Round 5

Pérez is spending more time backpedaling now, still lighting up Hamadouche's body when she takes a long bold stride forward, but more tentative, fewer punches strung together in each combo. Hamadouche patiently dialing in the right hand when she gets in range and clattering it against the side or back of the head as Pérez ducks & twists away. Hamadouche keeping the left jab out in front, probing, backhanding into Pérez's cheek.

Round 6

Pérez is down! Hamadouche really coming on strong with a flood of hard 1-2s. Pérez somewhat overwhelmed even after getting up. Hamadouche walks her into the ropes. Pérez flurrying madly for dear life but can't back her off.

Weird stoppage. He let Janeth eat all those punches for three minutes, and then just swoops in while she is actively throwing punches back from the ropes?

 

I agree, sort of. Like, she was taking abuse...but why pick that anticlimactic moment after letting her soak up punishment for 99% of the round?
