Round 1

Bauderlique is crowding Ngumbu straight away, rowing the southpaw jab out at his brow. Ngumbu is creeping to his left with his awkward, herky-jerky wide stance, arms spread apart, throwing a slingshot 1-2 from outside. Bauderlique giving him a respectful distance, doubling up on the jab and delivering a left cross with a quick sally inside but then jumping out again. Nice quick right hook by Bauderlique. Ngumbu gets in a couple of body shots. Ngumbu pushing the left jab, rocking backward to load up the right cross and then flinging himself in with it. Bauderlique blocking. Ngumbu tosses 4 punches into the guard falling in after once against spring-loading himself with a deep diagonal backward lean. God he's awkward.

Round 2

Bauderlique is walking Ngumbu down, ignoring his full-body slingshot 1-2s for the most part, brushing him aside when necessary, and just parading his way down Main Street with a right jab, turning over a hook into Ngumbu's left temple once he gets close enough, stunning him a little. Ngumbu switching gears now, getting more negative, tossing overhand rights and collapsing upon Bauderlique with sticky clinches. Ref quick to separate them. Messy flurries by Ngumbu, mostly pretenses to grab Bauderlique around the neck. Bauderlique works the free hand into Ngumbu's body. Ngumbu backs out and floats a high jab.

Round 3

Bauderlique is checking Ngumbu's lazy left jab with his right fist, shooting into it in midair. Bauderlique is shaking off Ngumbu's clinches and pushing out with his bent right arm, sometimes prodding Ngumbu's chest with the point of his elbow. Frequent clinches now. Ref just letting it happen, watching them attempt to work organically out of it for a minute before breaking them up. Bauderlique is clubbing down on Ngumbu with both hands, landing whatever and wherever he can. Very messy. Ngumbu slightly hurt.
