Oh and his nickname (which took quite a bit of digging) is La Volonté, which translates into "The Willpower". So yeah, between his style and in-ring demeanor, handsome looks, and heavy-handedness, basically he's the guy to look to for your Lemieux fix when you're having withdrawals between Dave's fights.

 

Round 1

Chadlioui gets backed into a corner by the right jab of Bauderlique. Lots of posturing at mid-range, with Chadlioui using feints but then just diving in head-first, delivering some butts into Bauderlique's torso. Southpaw one-twos from Bauderlique, getting perfect extension on them so they snap into Chadlioui's bald head or stomach at their very furthest point of reach. Bauderlique even dribbles in a few right hooks above the Moroccan's left temple when he leans forward and keeps his glove fixed in place over his chin.

Mustafa's draw with Sęk and TKO1 blitz of Travis Dickinson are both arguably better than anything on Mathieu's résumé so far, tbf, but I'd be pretty surprised to see the upset nonetheless.

 

Round 2

Chadlioui is barging in, getting stamped between his eyes with jabs and 1-2s. Bauderlique is keeping Chadlioui honest with the scything right hook, leaning partway in while flipping it over like a pancake. Chadlioui ducking and launching himself off his rear heel but the straight, crisp jabs and left crosses of Bauderlique are pressing into his 6th chakra or getting buried in his bushy rat's nest of a beard.

Round 3

Chadlioui keeps applying frantic pressure, selling out and running with his entire form hunched down low, throwing overhands and getting batted around with counters. Bauderlique is using nice, economical (not overly flashy or quick) footwork to pivot away from Chadlioui's rushes, always in position to line up a nice long straight combo, and often punctuating with a right hook. Chadlioui swiping furiously on the break with a left upper-hook against the chest, grazing. Chadlioui starts to rush in again, but is halted with a horizontally turned right forearm of Bauderlique, put out Heisman trophy style into his beard. Nice straight flurries delivered in backward motion from Bauderlique. Narrow right uppercut inside from Bauderlique, cleaves Chadlioui off him and puts him down.

Round 4

Chadlioui tries jabbing from a guard riding a haywire elevator, up and down every few seconds, just spraying the left hand out from wherever it happens to be, missing at every altitude. Bauderlique is now stepping inside, wanting to mix it up and returning to his brawling roots after having boxed so well in the preceding few rounds to start off. Bauderlique is bouncing the right jab off Chadlioui's nose and starting to put together drum-fill combos on the head while stepping around him. The most Chadlioui manages to muster is a grazing overhand right in the pocket.
