Just as a football or basketball coach refers to their team as "we", Roach along with many other trainers do the same when referring to their fighters. It seems quite natural considering the fighter or player(s) is essentially a manifestation of the trainer or coach's teachings.

If Clottey can outbox Cotto, then Pac can do it, but Pac has to be more careful, he does not have the same level of durability as Clottey.

I see cuts opening up on Cotto's face by round 6. Let's face it guys (and I really like Miguel), he cuts easily, and the handspeed and southpaw stance will affect him.

Didnt Roach say like three weeks ago that Manny WILL KO Cotto? It seems after watching tapes of Cotto he has gotten a little bit more cautious about what he thinks about the fight. He keeps bringing up also how impressed he was of Cotto nullifying Mosleys speed.

I think he is voicing it because he has privately expresed the same concerns to Manny to no avail....Manny is probably getting cocky with
all of his yes men tripping over eachother to kiss his ass.
He is probably trying to sober Manny up....after all I think Manny believed
it was a tune up for the real " Mega Fight " with Gayweather !!!!

Looks like both of them considered their fights as tune ups and will both get starched with Manny belly up in the 7th and Gayweather losing a decision with bruised ribs !!!!

Roach whips up predictions like hotcakes. I think his latest derives from a culmination of a lack of communication between him and his fighter, a shorter training camp that is less than ideal in Roach's mind, and probably extended film study on Cotto.

I'll be tuned in for his next weeks prediction.

I believe Freddie's mountain camp is about four times higher than Baguio but there was some worry concerning the growing prevalence of bandito kidnappers; but then the Philippines is full of Jihadi kidnappers. I just wonder how his armed body guards will keep up with him on the mountain trails

Dr.Roach knows what he is talking about, Cotto is going to be Pac hardest fight to date, he is a prime 147 fighter who is good in all areas. Pac better be ready..

YEah Roach has proven to be fairly straight forward and acurate with Manny's chances. Against Hatton they were saying they were going to knock him out early and they did. Roach is no dumb ass he knows both fighters and he has a good feel for how the fight is going to go.

I would imaging the game plan is going to be basically the same as the DLH fight. Minimal controlled engagement.

I have a feeling all will not run smoothly in the Pacquiao camp during training for the fight! Roach has already had to agree to Pacquiao training elsewhere for a few weeks or whatever period it may be. That has not happened before! Freddy makes no bones about the fact that Pacquiao can experiencen a lot of distractions in respect of people wanting to see him, etc.

Roach knows he cannot take Cotto lightly & he won't, but does Manny realise he cannot afford to underestimate Miguel? No disrespect to Hatton or De La Hoya, but this is Cotto Pacquiao is facing, an entirely different proposition to either of those guys! As Freddy stated, Cotto is in his prime is a seasoned campainger. Cotto won't be fazed by anything! The pressue is on Manny not Miguel!

As for Roach saying Pacquiao will win every round, I can't see that! Nearere this fight gets, the more I'm leaning towards Cotto doing the business!

If Cotto wins does that mean Pacquiao-Mayweather is out the window?
