I've always been a fan of Pac, this is nothing new. Been a fan all the way back, if you remember, when people were calling him hopeless, better off retired, one-dimensional and exposed after the first Morales fight. There weren't many Pac fans back then. He can afford going to the ropes based on his speed and counter punches, Cotto coming in could eat a serious right hook as Pac steps out of there. That left hook is what was the beginning of the end for Hatton, he never saw it coming, it's THAT fast. Hatton and co. prepared for it and KNEW he will use it but couldn't see it coming, over and over Pac was landing it easily due to speed. I think Pac will look to outbox Cotto in this one, try to win by UD which he can do and if the KO comes then it comes. Pac didn't plan to KO Hatton either, they always prepare for full 12 rounds of power punching and the majority can't handle that power to last that long.
I don't think they'll knockout Cotto either ... but this is boxing, anything can happen. I think he has a strong chance to overwhelm Cotto and get the stoppage if Cotto ever gets in that Jermain Taylor mode (back straight up and take unneccessary punishment) But there probably going to aim for the decision ... but I want to see how Pacquiao reacts when he gets hit with a flush shot ... or when he's hurt ... Paulie said "when you get hit by Cotto, your whole game plan changes" ... and you forget about what you're supposed to do and just fight.
Roach says he doesnt think Manny will knock Cotto out? Didn't he predict a 10th round stoppage? Manny won't be able to hurt Cotto. Look at the punches Cotto took from Mosley and the bricks he took from Margarito!!! You think Manny can hurt him? He can outspeed him, and might just, but who knows. This fight is much more intriguing than people think. No clear favorite.
