How is that a ***** move?:huh PAC is just making a fight with a legitimate foe. Of course Shane deserves it more based on his career and most recent performance but Cotto is a Top Rank fighter....Arum is their promoter. I'm sure the fight is easier to make and its a lesser risk fighting Cotto. After all Floyd did the exact same thing by not fighting Cotto, Marg or Shane. So if it's a ***** move on part of PAC it's also a ***** move on part of Floyd and neither men are bitches![/quote]These are the same reasons as to why why we never got Pav-Abraham, and why Abraham is leaving 160. You guys are satisfied with these ***** moves by Arum because they are Top Rank fighters. That shite is ****ing up boxing. Arum is a greedy ******* and the scum of the earth. We never got Marquez against Barrera or Morales in their prime, yet you scream they are Top Rank fighters fighting each other...at 145 at that lol...:dead If Cotto knew best, he would wait until his contract is up with Arum. Cotto went from first to second and now to third lol...

PAC has to put his P4P title on the line which isn't a choice. Plus its not a huge deal for Cotto to loose 1 more pound than he did in his last fight. He's already at WW, he'll be right around 151 or 152 when camp begins and as a pro he'll be able to make the adjustments to shed the extra pound. No matter how you spin this, PAC moving up, skipping divisions and moving back down, up and inbetween like a Paul Williams is impressive. But PAC is fighting far stiffer comp.

The only thing fans don't like is the idea of a catch weight fight between Pac-Cotto with cotto's title ONTHE LINE! You guys are still screaming Pac is too small. Stop crying.

hmm says... read my previous post...

~Cotto drops a couple of pounds from 147 and puts his title on the line.
~Pac puts the P4P title on the line and Cotto gets his biggest payday yet.

sounds fair to me... and like what the other previous poster said... This ain't the first time a title has been on the line at a catchweight...previous ATGs have done it so why not now.

STFU and be glad the fight is close to being made. Like I said, anything below 145 is outrageous. 145 is reasonable, Cotto said it and his camp is saying it. I still prefer to see Cotto vs. Mosley but this should be even better :bbb

When you have to ask a guy to come in at a certain weight, and put HIS title on the line, you talk about spinning shite?

welterweight 141 to 147. if 145 is inside that range, then it's up to cotto if he wants to defend the title, most probably for a price.

again, this is hardly the first time a title is defended in a catchweight

It's much better than l43 pounds. Both parties agreed on it. So what's your problem? You're not a party to the contract that will be negotiated, are you?

Many thought Lalonde was at a disadvantage when Sugar asked him to put his titles on the line at 168 even though he was a 175 lbs champ. You guys just don't know what it is like to lose weight (even a lb)before a fight/weigh in...you really don't. You look at it as being easy when you have seen guys come in over the limit, and have to skip rope or something just to lose that extra lb at the weigh in.

Hey....I'm not saying its right, but this is the polotics of the business bro. Its been like this for YEARS. Honestly at 145 it's not gonna be a difference. He beat Josh at 146 a man who is bigger than himself. Now he's fighting PAC at 145 a man who is far smaller than himself. Cotto is a chamion, a warrior and a professional! He wants to face the best fighter on the planet so he's going to make his decision based on being just that. At 145 or 144 or 147 Cotto would have taken the fight and as the person he is he'll be 100% without a doubt. It's the fans or haters who are making excuses before the fight even happens to have an excuse should the fight end up as they expect. Cotto has a chance as the bigger man. The terms are fair. Let the best man win.

PAC's P4P title is on the line too! Which is more prestious in the world of boxing especially for the fighters. PAC can't "choose" to put up this belt....its automatic.
