How is it big difference? That title will be on the line when Cotto Vs Pac happens.

 

why are you people so affected by the purse splits? are you getting a share from it? what's important is that the fight is signed on conditions agreeable to both parties whether it is purse split or weight.

 

Because we are fans of boxings and the boxers are what makes the sport. We would like the people we respect to be treated as fairly as possible although most things we have no real control over. Similiarly to compassion, like when a big natural disaster occur in a different country which may have no relations at all to us but yet many are still willing to help donate or some sort of support. Not everyone must have such selfish way of thinking as you.

 

Now 70-30 would be perfect if the fight were at 147 to fans. Since the fight is at 145, Cotto should be paid more, and ask for 60-40.

 

:goodIf you are asking a man to come in at 145, and possibly can't rehydrate to a certain weight, and put his title on the line, 60-40 should be the split, but 65-35 is something to think about.

 

Marquez is guaranteed 4 mil plus, and the fight with Floyd is at 144.

Either that or Roach is not all the confident and is simply being a trainer right now, which I think may be the case, lets not forget while Manny is a puncher it took a bigger man who throws about 100 shots per round, ten rounds with Concreate in his gloves to get Cotto out of there.

in other words, I wouldnt exactly write off Miguel just yet, though i dont see him winning this fight, He has been able to deal with quick handed fighters

 

ok so if you insist that we should talk about purses, what is fair for pac and what is fair for cotto? what if cotto accepts a 30-70 split against pac, would you condemn pac because he got a much bigger share? would you say that jmm should just pull-out of his fight against floyd because he is only having a 20-80 split? thing is, both camps negotiated and they know what is their current worth. if they feel that they deserve more, they would ask it themselves and not because of whining fans like you.

Cotto might accept it cause he's a fighter that won't care about split as long as he'll get payed and he will around 7 million but we as boxing fans feels he deserves more then 7 million cause the fighters he has fought and the draw he brings and his wbo ww title will be on the line in a catch weight. 60/40 is a fair split considering who has Cotto fought and the draw Cotto brings with big fanbase.

 

I already mentioned a 65-35 split in a previous post. If the deal end up 70-30 then of course it is their own business, but how much respect is left on the tables is a different matter. Look, I am not holding Pac accountable personally, many things aren't fully managed by the fighter alone, it is the team. Alot of lesser popular fighters gets bullied a lot in a negotiation and will sign the deal, but the bully loses respect from the fans. Fans is what makes the sport popular, good ****ing luck having all the fans disrespect you and still try to to make the most out of your fights.

Why does so many boxers try to earn fans? They sure as hell doesn't care for each of us personally but they do want our fricken money. In a way they are our bitches, so try not to let them make you into their ***** instead.

BTW Pac is my favorite active fighter atm, doesn't mean I will support everything the man does. Ain't no one is perfect.
