Roach: "Algieri is nothing special... Pacquiao will knock him out"

It's not always easy or obvious to differentiate between Roach's smack talkings and his honest assessments, but I think in this instance the former applies - given the type of style that Algeri brings and the table, and Pacquiao's troubles with movement and counter punching.

 

I could be wrong and probably have to rewatch the fight, but I wouldn't call Algieri a counter puncher. He seems more like an outside fighter to me.

 

This fight is a joke.

algieri got a gift versus provo. he looked on the verge of death after their fight. if pac loses, it is time to retire.

 

PAC will KO this guy in two rounds and then his followers will claim he is the best ever. Such a waste of a fight I would rather see PAC v Alvarado than this joke of a fight. Seriously if you think Algieri had a chance you need to get your head checked.

Just because he is tall and has a long jab does not give him a chance against pacman. This is honestly one of the worst fights in years.
