So why Can't he teach Pac to cut off the ring either. People keep saying he is such a great trainer but his greatest pupil just got spanked again basically proving that all the great improvements he made were never tehre to begin with.

Think he is mad about that?

Well it's a open target all night for Khan, it's a matter of how much a beating Rios is willing to take?

I don't think with is style he will last the full 12 vs a high output Khan.

IMO, Rios will be there all night. Khan doesn't possess the power to deter or stop Rios, even via accumulation. Can he outbox him to a 12 UD, definitely.

You could be right, I just feel with Rios's style of walking in, closing down, he will walk onto shots which increases the impact of some of the shots.

But I know these Mexicans are tough, and he could just take the beating.

as a khan fan id be pretty worried if this fight happens.

i think freddies got it wrong - watch the acosta fight. he trapped acosta a decent number of times. id see a rios-khan fight going down the same way. khan wins early rounds only to get stopped late.

but this next fight is going to tell us a lot about khan. peterson can adjust - he proved that in the ortiz fight. we have yet to see khan do the same.

If he goes to the midsection he could break him down and stop him late, rios has been hurt to the body before

With a concentrated attack, possibly. It's whether he would go to the body consistently against someone like Rios without being dragged in to a war. I can see him keeping it at range and throwing very fast 1-2's, etc.

I think Rios success at lightweight is due to him being bigger than every1 and hence his ablility to withstand shots at that weight. But as soon as he moves to 140 and 147 guys will be as big and hit much harder. Now Rios has a high guard but against murray and antillion he showed he is very easy to hit. This is because his head movement and footwork is very poor, he is flat footed and comes forward in straight lines. People say if Maidana was giving hell to khan than rios would do the same. But what people don't realise is that Rios has a very basic consistent come forward style with a high guard. Whereas maidana is one of the crudest fighters out there who has underated fast feet and awkward looping shots. If you watch the khan-maidana fight look how maidana crowds khans space so quickly, he doesn't let khan breathe or turn as easily. He pretty much did that for 12 rounds (Not forgeting that body shot in the liver which would have finished 90% of fighters) as he was in tremendous shape.

I just don't see Rios style creating problems for khan, before he gets to khan he would have eaten 6 punches and then to only see khan turn and not be there. His footwork isn't fast enough to keep up and his punch resistant wouldn't be able to deal with khans power if people like murray is getting his attention. Plus I don't think Rios has enough power to stop khan and that is crucial for him as he will find it extremely hard to land in the first place, whereas maidana did. Ultimately I think khan would stop rios, not a good fight for rios.

Roach already knows this hence he wants the fight.

Haven't you learned by now that team Roach/ARUM picks fights that favor them. Give us the MAIN fight we want to see. We'd love to see.
