You also hafta consider the likelihood of the fight happening anyway in regard to Mayweather's own words: "Marquez has beaten Pacquiao twice."

This tells me that Mayweather's gonna use a victory over Marquez (IF that happens) to further intensify the argument that he's truly #1 P4P while avoiding a fight with Pac and leave many if not most in reasonable debate as to whether or not that's true.

I honestly foresee Floyd trying to avoid a fight with Pac.

Simply put, the Cotto fight is more fan-friendly by far.

thats pretty stupid asumption. hatton-mayweather was not boring, why becuase hatton came right after mayweather and mayweather engaged. pac-man is expected to the same as always. sounds like they afraid to go after mayweather fight.

they're just showing their 'disinterest' to help them in
the bargaining department because theyknow (as do the
rest of us) that floyd would ask for the majority of the purse.
but at this point, pac doesnt need floyd to further his
legacy. if he were to go after the other big fish, cotto, id
be pretty satisfied with that given floyds negotiation issues.

Despite you bias opinion most hardcore and casual fans want to see Pac\Floyd anytime over Cotto\Pac! Thats a fact...Their even talking about it on First Take and Around the Horn which hardly ever talk boxing...You should know that if you're a hardcore fan...Put you perosnal feeling aside because its clouding your judgement...I'm not here to make you feel any different but its clear as day that your biasness is clouding your judgement!

Probably a topic for another thread, but....

What would you consider a fair weight for Mayweather/Marquez? They already have him north of 140, but I've seen no definite weight.

What would you consider a fair weight for Pac/May?

Cant speak for everybody else but for me....I really want the fight to take place at 140-143 (just my opinion on it)

I think 140 would benifit both fighters but if Floyd doesnt agree to terms at 140, I would settle for catch weight for 143.

same thing I've been asking Mauweather for the longest, but I don't get you.....when Floyd was ducking fighters and cherrypicking I'm sure you never said a word, but now that the ball ain't in his court "the best should fight the best"?

Where was the logic when he "retired" instead of fighting the winner of Cotto-Mosley or one of the other hungry welters? He ain't give to the fans then, so why should I care now? There are plenty of high risk, high profile fights out there to be made for Pac, and I personally want to see Pac-Cotto, I think it will be one the greatest fghts of all time givin there clash of styles, it should be nothing less then a war

and apparently. Arum and Roach agree

Nah, I'm 100% positive that Pac-Cotto would be a more excitig fight then Pac-FMJ....and this has nothig to do with who I like or don't like, these r just 2 fighters that never fail to entertain

What does exiting have to do with public demand???

Its has all to do with it when you keep on dismissing the point the public is calling for this fight over Cotto\Pacman...thats a fact homeboy!:good
