I believe the reason is because at the lower weights the fighters who bring the most money are mostly latin, with the exception of mayweather and mosley.

chatchai sasakul was the lineal flyweight champ at the time and was a very slick boxer when pac knocked him out.

ledwaba was also slick but not too slick for pac.

No...they ducked Shane. There is no other way to interpret Freddie's comments on the matter. Why EVER say another fighter is "too good" for your fighter to fight? Roach was not risking Pac against Shane, after what he had just done to Margo, and just based on the style and size matchup. Freddie has always said he'd put Manny in with Cotto, w/o hesitation.

Well, Manny has PLENTY of opportunities to disprove this belief, in and around his current weight class. He should not have to wait on Floyd. There are other fights out there for him, though not as lucrative.

Does the absurd thread starter think that black fighters deserve a shot at the champ because of the color of their skin? You have to earn the paycheck.

Sheesh, now blacks want affirmative action in boxing too?

Give me dat paycheck cuz im BLACK
