 I would bet on Margarito, Cotto and Clottey against Berto, and possibly Hatton too.

Wait...so Pacquiao has pretty much destroyed Cotto, Hatton, Clottey and Margarito...and you honestly believe Roach thinks Berto will be a challenge?

All the boxers mentioned have fought on a higher level than Berto, all have beaten or been in the ring with better opposition. That's not to say Berto won't be a challenge...but in all likelihood, Roach is just preparing just in case Berto is Pacquiao's next opponent...once the contract is signed, "We will knock Berto out in 4".

well then he fooled me AGAIN, because i think berto is a hell of a fighter.i dont know what his heart is like other then what he showed in the collazo fight lol.but i think his skill set is off the hook.so if manny beats him then that would be better then his other wins for ME !!!! if mayweather dont fight manny its berto i want him to fight for the wbc jump off.

Berto's is a crappy protected hbo fighter and he will get destroyed against Pac ....Al Haymon has far too much power and damn near runs HBO at least boxing wise, It sickens me will be a bad mismatch if it happens. Roach is a great trainer but he knows damn well Berto doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell against Pac or really any top tier fighter for that matter.Berto's like 1 or 2 steps above Green in the **** trade.

He is just building up a potential opponent.Berto is unbeaten and young. It would not be a bad fight.

Who Berto beat doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is that he's not much.

How could anyone prefer to see Pac Mosely over Berto? I mean lets see a young unbeaten champion or a old fighter in the twilight of his career, who has a loss and a draw in his two fights. Seems like a no brainer.

If Berto fought Mayweather and Mora in his last two fights, do you think he'd have a better record? Old Mosley>Young Berto. Zeroes can be deceiving.

The thread starter thinks that Roach is just saying that Berto is dangerous to start hyping the fight. and he says "he's at it again" like he always does it.

It's not true. He never does that.

I don't always share Roach's opinion, but I usually respect it anyways because he always speaks his mind, no bull****.

    And?

Berto barely even beat Collazo, whom Mosley punked.

Oh right...I didn't click on to what you were saying. :good

But I still believe Roach is probably somewhat preparing in case Berto is Pacquiao's next opponent.

no way, when Pac's next opponent was Hatton Roach said "Hatton is not really worthy"

So no reason for him to be "preparing"
