Manny Pacquiao's long-time trainer Freddie Roach has admitted that The Bible can "get in the way" of the Filipino's thought processes as a professional fighter, and that retirement looms in a "must-win" mega-fight rematch with Timothy Bradley in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
"This is a 'must-win' situation on Saturday night, and if we don't win this fight we have to consider maybe retirement," Hall of Famer coach Roach told me in an exclusive interview with Telegraph Sport.

Pacquiao has lost his killer instinct over the years and I blame it on his bible studies. The more devoted Christian he becomes, the less he will try to hurt the other guy.

    Pacquaio has plenty of power.

Gloves size changed at 140, and his opponents often play it safe.

Brandon Rios didn't, but Brandon Rios is a warrior.

Very few people can take a beating like that.

Yeah, Jesus teaches about love one another, be peaceful as possible with eachother, be patient, be kind, be honest, etc, etc, but there are many stories of war.
Most people know David and Goliath.. If you read it, it isn't just some little kids story. David, Gods chosen king, who also is very small and "The least of his household" (meaning he's the runt) is chosen by God to do battle against Goliath, a 9 foot veteran of war with his own personal armor bearer. David tells him he's going to chop off his head, and feed it to the birds. Goliath laughs. David hits him upside the head with a stone, takes Goliath's own sword, cuts his head off, and carries it to what is beleived to be a mountain to be buried. That's one story of many where war and showing no mercy took place.

I agree that Pac is to compassionate because of his religion, i guess, but his "job" is to fight. Not many boxers really want to hurt their opponent, take $ away from their kids, injure somebodies husband, etc, but it's part of the job. More merciful to finish it quick anyways IMO. Manny does need to prove he has the fire, finish off Bradley and then be friends with him afterwards, or just retire.

Pac should read the Old Testament where God is a very mean god, a killer, no compassion for women, children or anyone..................where God was a man of war, etc................

Pac's power peaked at JrWW. He's no bonafide WW for sure.
BUT, his athleticism, solid chin, work rate and speed still allowed him to be competitive in the WW division.
His punching power is not "weak" in WW though, he did knocked down Cotto (2X) and Mosley, and seriously stunned Margarito, so that is still a testament to his power.
He doesn't have the concussive one shot power that he had in the lower weights though.
