Roach: Changed my mind, Ward beats Golovkin

Jacobs did a lot better than i expected him to but i had GGG winning a very close decision.

GGG wasn't dominant in this fight. I guess if he was the scores would have been wider.

I believe he respected Jacobs power and i think he may even have been hurt by 1 or 2 body punches during the fight. I did like his adjustment though and his ability to find a way to win when things weren't going as planned.

Both guys came out of this fight with a lot of credit.

 

Never said he didn't. He was out thunk & out fought though.. Just like you have been.

Anyone who knows boxing already knows Ward beats GGG. It's why GGG wanted no parts of Ward.

 

Nothing new here, Ward is totally all wrong for GGG. Kovalev has more power and wasn't able to KO Ward, GGG wouldn't be able to KO Ward and would be out boxed.

 

So a light heavyweight might beat a middleweight...okay.

he got 2 out of the 3 belts outside the ring and the third was from Lemieux. Martinez has achieved more but GGG can get even with 1 or 2 really good wins

 

No way, if GGG got in a career ending car crash today, he wouldn't get in the HOF. I think he may end up there maybe but as of yet he has scraped by Jacobs and beaten Lemieux. That's not a HOF resumee. If you want to count being awarded 2 out of 3 belts and winning the other against a guy with 0 defenses as "greatness" then maybe. But his title defense number and all that are just meaningless numbers. For me what counts is who you beat and how

 

I've always felt Ward beats Golovkin too. Easily.
