Exactly...the reason it would be hypocritical is because...THEY HAVEN'T AGREED TO THE TESTING DEMAND. Which is their choice and right to do so, that's not the point, they don't HAVE to agree. My point is that there are many people on this forum who claim directly that "Manny has agreed to the tests" when he clearly hasn't, that is all I'm saying. I agree with your post 100%, but if they had agreed to testing, then it obviously wouldn't be hypocritical to ask someone else to, that's all I'm getting at.
He's agreed now, but they refused the first time round, this is obvious and the world knows this. What point are you trying to make? ****in *****s so desperate they are clinging on to something that happened nearly 2 years ago rather than the current situation.
They didnt agree in the first negotiations, since then they claimed they have. Either way floyd has made it obvious he's dodging the fight since those first negotiations. And him avoiding the fight has little to nothing t odo with drug testing .
I know, he could have and should have said that and it's a good point. What I'm trying to depict here though is that there is a possibility that Roach did not think that far ahead in the interview. It may be that he was just considering their fallout on the first negotiation at the time. He gets mics shoved in his face all the time, so its not like he has a prepared answer. Edit: I mean, just re-reading your post, it sounds like a prepared statement rather than a fleeting comment in an interview with some random reporter. C'mon it's Freddy Roach we're talking about here
No its hypocritical because they refused drug testing in the first place because they think its interfering. To ask Shane to do it would be hypocritical. They have however confirmed to the media, Pac & Arum that they have no agreed to testing. It doesnt mean they want it, they are agreeing to FLOYDS DEMAND just to please the fans and make the fight happen...however they are not that much of a hypocrite request someone to do something they themselves think is absurd and refused in the first place. Damm you are thick.
Shhhh...the grown ups are talking. Since you've already interupted though: NO ****ING **** DUMBASS, YOU 100% JUST MADE MY ****ING POINT, WHICH IS PAC HASN'T AGREED TO **** IN TERMS OF TESTING. Now that we agree on this can you do me a favor and kill yourself...like ASAP, preferably like right now. Thanks breh and I wish you the best of luck with that...
stop training camp? break routine? what? that **** went smooth in the mosley/may fight.. usada actually has a pretty good reputation, i don't know where you came up with this **** post.
That is possible, I don't consider it likely per se', but it is possible. Like I said from the beginning, it's obvious there has not been an agreement on the testing...we've not heard Roach say it, Koncz say it, obviously PBF believes there is no agreement. It's not to say what Manny would or wouldn't do, perhaps tomorrow he says I'll test whenever and I'm committed to random drug testing and signs a contract that says so...maybe he does. To this point he hasn't, that's all I'm saying.
Ok...so you are saying they would cheat for Floyd, I mean is that not what you are saying? I mean if I'm misunderstanding you by all means correct me, but that's what it seems like you are saying (USADA would rig things in favor of Floyd).
Be EZ fellas, I'm out for the night, I appreciate the reasonable debate from some of you, I respect your positions, and will make an effort to repay the courtesy going forward. OUT!
Alright. But then this makes this an issue of "hasn't come out with it with a full statement" rather than an outright refusal. Everywhere is bits and pieces of everyone and their mothers from both teams putting in their word but no real, published statements from either team concerning the issue. It doesn't help either that Floyd hasn't gone out and spoken of his intentions (edit: came out with a statement) to re-enter the ring anytime soon with desire to duke it with Pac.
Dude, you keep ignoring that Manny already stated that he has agreed to the testing after this video was taken. You can't hold on to their statement because they said it and keep ignoring what they said after. Fact: 1. First negotiation failed. Floyd demanded random drug testing. Manny refused. What's the premise for their actions, is debatable. 2. Floyd denied having 2nd negotiation. Ross Greenburg said otherwise. No concrete fact proven if Manny has already agreed to Floyd's drug testing demands in 2nd round of negotiations. 3. Manny stated he would agree to all testing demands. Floyd clings on to "Take the test, we have a fight". With all that said, it's a mystery why the fight isn't on yet. If you filter all "*****" and "*******" comments on Pacquiao-Mayweather saga, that's more or less how the story line will be. In between those numbers, you can insert Bob Arum interpreting how he sees the events to the media, Floyd and 50Cent tweeting and posting their own brand of remarks. But most of all, ESB has seen an unusual number of threads created daily discussing and translating the events. I admire both fighters, but they can't hold boxing hostage forever. If they can't settle on an agreement, then so be it. There are other interesting fights we can make. (e.g. Zelenoff vs Harley II). On the other hand, the fight negotiations alone have kept boxing visible to mainstream media. But it's starting to feel like getting teased and turned one but get no action in the end. I'd rather bang another (albeit not so hot) girl.
