Hall of fame boxing trainer Freddie Roach has confirmed that a slander case is in the works against Floyd Mayweather Sr. Recently, Mayweather Sr went on the record and accused the pound for pound king, Manny Pacquiao of taking illegal steroids. In response to these allegations,, Roach said, " All of the sudden Floyd Mayweather Sr is an expert on steroids? Tell me what kind of steroids Manny is taking Floyd? Tell me how much you know about steroids, first of all. Steroids had nothing to do with the perfect right hand that Manny landed on your fighter, because you didn't teach him how to get out of the way."
Roach is infuriated with these allegations, and goes on to say, " That same punch that we landed on your fighter, is the same one that we'll land on your son, and we'll pass a drug test because we don't take drugs, we don't believe in drugs, and we don't need drugs!"
Roach confirms slander case in the works.
"I am going to talk to my lawyer, there could be a slander case here, and we will sue him. I talked to Manny, and I talked to an attorney, and we are all on board here. This is all over the place now that Manny is on steroids, it's defaming his name."

Floyd Sr is 10x more annoying than Floyd Jr. And he's not even funny like Roger. Fail.

Mayweather could hire me as his lawyer and he would still win that case. I think Roach is just blowing hot air here. I wonder why he's so mad?

Why does Roach need to talk to his lawyer. Last time I checked Manny was a MAN and had his own lawyers.

I swear these days Roach has to much to say. Does he have something to hide? You remember James Tony. LOL

    this

accussing someone of cheating is a very serious accusation, when French tabloids accused Lance Armstrong of doping it hurted Armstrong's reputation in Europe even though it was never proven that he tested positive.

Even if this slander case doesnt go all the way its a good premeasure on team Pacquiao's part to do something before you get people like John David Jackson, and Nate Campbell jumping on the wagon.

Freddie has no case at all. Pac's fans have said far worse about Floyd, and now they want to complain about what an old man said lol...

As a current law student, im not sure if Pac has a case though its possible. 2 things that jump out, is one, Mayweather Sr. was making an opinion statement as oposed to a declaratory one, but this is subject to debate.

Also, they would have to show that Manny has suffered some type of harm specifically pecuniary harm. If the statement didnt harm Pac repuatation and cost him money or job offers or something then there's nothing for them to hang their hat on. If there are no damages then there's no case. Gonna be interesting to see how this plays out.
