Technically, he never accused Pac of cheating. He stated that in his honest opinion he thinks that Pac is on some type of supplement. Many supplements are perfectly legal. He said that Pac can't be beat Floyd with or without steroids, and he said they're pushing Pac too hard even IF he has steroids in him. Now the implication is very clear. However, from a technical standpoint, he never actually accuses Pac of being on steroids. Even if he did, so what? Mayweather is no expert on the subject, he's just some guy with an opinion. Mayweather is not a newspaper or some respected expert on steroid use. He's a boxing trainer. You can't be trying to censor people via frivolous lawsuits. This is America, it doesn't work that way.

You make some good points. However, in the U.S, the courts make no legal distinction between facts and opinion. The biggest thing to take away from this case, besides the lack of harm inflicted upon Manny, is the fact that Manny is a public figure which would make the burden of proof in a slander case extremely difficult.

Very easy. Pac is very influential and all he has to do is contact the largest pharmacy chain in the philippines, MERCURY DRUGS. Pac can claim that his contract to advertise the company ( through commercials, billboards etc..) was dropped because of floyd's accusations. Legal documents will b provided and there is your case! !!

I agree. Nobody including Jr takes Sr serious anyway. Barrera should sue Freddy for saying he used illegal wraps.

WTF? He prefaced the statements with "I think" and also added "may be". I don't remember him saying "He is on..." I am no lawyer or law student though so I don't know, but this seems to contradict, IMHO, common sense.

I do think it is a BS statement. Why take steroids when you can weight drain the other guy by setting a BS catch weight?

plus manny's a public figure which also makes slander cases more difficult. but your first point is best: i'm pretty sure fms said i believe he's on roids

Why the complete reversal from the tepid response that Roach gives 1 day, and then this statement which just sound like somebody yelling fire in a crowded building. Seems suspicious, and I think Freddie is counting his chicken b4 thy hatch he need to be worrying about Cotto cept blowing air out his ass about Floyd

    A Conspiracy :think

:rofl You think it's that easy??!

Imagine the risk the Drug Co. is taking to do that. Info leaks, and Mayweather Sr beocmes an extremely rich man.
