Again, you automatically say that Pac has no lawyer in the states.

Do you know that as a fact? No, you don't.

If he can't prove that PAC really is using or used steroid.. i hope he gets jailed.

It's soooooooo easy to accuse somebody of wrongdoing but proving it is actually true is a different story.

    Some people are getting desperate..

    read the thread idiot.

the fact that roach is going to hire that american lawyer is because of pac's consent because pac will be the complainant in this case and not roach.

think of it again idiot. why will pac maintain a lawyer in the US when he has someone to help him out in contracts since that is the only thing he needs unless he has to enter into litigation.

that is the time he has to hire an american lawyer. its logic dumbass, something you are not known for in esb. :hi:

You can't go to jail for slander in the U.S. Slander is a tort, not a crime in this country. Bob Arum said that Floyd Mayweather likes to shoot up cars. Should he go to jail if he can't prove that Mayweather likes to shoot up cars? Of course not, that would be completely ridiculous. Pacquaio has no case here and his suit would in all likelyhood get thrown out.

the guy is canadian right. and he acts as adviser etc.

lawyers are just like doctors. they specialize in some fields.

commercial, labor law. criminal law etc.

you do not hire a lawyer specializing on contracts to represent you in court for murder. :)

DAYUUUUUM!! I saw one thread from a poster who basically said Roach wsn't "emphatic" one way or the other about these claims from Sr. I guess this would be what we could call empahtically stating that there is NO performance enhancing substance being taken on part of Manny.

Number 1, there's no proof that it has done any economic or emotional damage. Number 2, Mayweather was stating an opinion. Number 3, Mayweather never actually said Pac was on steroids. Number 4, Pac is a public figure . It is damn near impossible for a public figure to win a defemation of character suit in the U.S because of the way the laws are setup here. Pac has no case, Roach is either ignorant of the law or is blowing hot air.

that is true big reg. some lawyers do practice from corporate to criminal but as a matter of recourse you are better off with a specialist.

just imagine, would you go to your pediatrician to have a heart transplant operation.

    I am a lawyer bigReg.

torts or quasidelicts can land you in jail in our jurisdiction. penalties for libel or slander can vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

even if you will not go to jail, you can be fined at the least or asked to pay damages.

either way, it will hurt anyone, regardless of the fact if you go to jail or not.
