I guess b/c its not true and Roach and Sr don't exactly have the best of relationships. I remember when Sr was making it a point to talk about Roachs medical condition which was a bit far. Now making false claims completely unwarranted abut illegal actions taken by his fighter is the straw that broke the camels back.

If you are truly a lawyer, or at least a halfway decent one, then you should know just how hard it is for a public figure to win defamation of character suit. You should also know that there is pretty much no jurisdiction in the U.S that classifies slander as a criminal offense.

Slander usually results in a lawsuit. You don't go to jail, but you could end up having to pay a **** load of money.

I dobut it will go anywhere but it's just funny b/c Sr is clearly salty. Making a claim like that that he has not proof nor any reasoning is a ***** move. It's a womanly trait to be that kind of envious or jealous. But it is what it is. It was an opinion. He didn't say that PAC IS TAKING STERIODS.....I don't believe. Only if he said that PAC is dopping could there be a case...otherwise it's just an opinion.

Manny facing these kinds of questions could very well hurt his reputation if people actually believe this ****** claiming that PAC is or potentially taking performance enhancing drugs. Mentally it could hinder his overall preperation for his up coming fight (not that it would, but it could). Their lawyer would or could claim in order to really push this lawsuit through. But that is a long shot. I don't think Roach has a case but I think it will be funny to see how Sr reacts.:yep

in our jurisdiction, the philippines, slander or libel is a criminal offense and not a tort or quasi delict and largely philippine laws are based on US laws.

that is true, slander might be difficult to prosecute in the states because of your liberal laws but that does not preclude someone who has been wronged from pursuing a case.

clearly, what floyd said was defamatory in nature and one of the elements of slander is publication.

even if floyd is not sent to prison, but if he is found guilty and is required to pay shitloads of money, that is justice in itself.

my point really for the floydettes is this.

what if is was your son, or a brother, a professional athlete at that with no record of being a steroid user. accused of being a user like a crackhead floyd.

would you take it sitting down and just let it pass?
