Kirkland has cherry picking gone wrong written all over it specially a motivated one and physically in crazy shape like with angulo, idk if cotto can keep Kirkland down as he is small for jrmw and Kirkland a big 154, kirkland would be the underdog but I'd bet on an upset if the odds were huge.

Cotto won't get passed Angulo, but he could beat Kirkland.

Yeah thats why Morales, Barrera, Marquez, Cotto have garbage boxing skills.
No wonder why Pac is the Fighter of the decade. :D

Poor Bradley, after winning the ''WBO Welterweight title'', No Big fights waiting for him.
Hasn't fought since June. He is no way near a PPV star.

Oh maybe a Rematch with Peterson Next year.

Cotto should have fought Trout, because he wanted to prove he was the best at 154, and he wanted that belt. Roach is doing himself and Team Pac no favors by stating Cotto shouldn't have fought him because the style didn't suit him..

:yep If you think Pac's fighting JMM to prove he's better than him, for a 4th time, you're on something...

Coming from the ultimate cherry picker Canelo fan, I'm not surprised. Bundrage is a wrong fight for Cotto, it's a stylistic nightmare. He's an aggressive fighter with power and size who fights ugly. While it would be entertaining as long as it lasts, Cotto could get stopped in this one. Cotto doesn't do good against consistent aggressive fighters.

I think a well rounded fighter should be able to fight any style and adjust when things are not working. Cotto is a great fighter, but he developed late, meaning he didn't really start boxing intelligently till later in his career, which ultimately results in an inability to gauge the effectiveness of his current plan and adjust efficiently in order to turn things around. Couple this with the blatant disregard for the opposition, (I really think that the Cotto camp, and boxing analyst in general were totally sleeping on Trout) and you have a lopsided beating.

Trainers/Management: Do your f*cking jobs. Steer the fighter into the best matchups, but DON'T disregard the growth of your fighter. That doesn't mean blindly put him in with just anyone, but it DOES mean match him up intelligently AND focus on effectively targeting fights that either position the fighter for big money fights AND fights that focus on improving aspects of your fighters game that could prove to be detrimental in the future.

    Just sayin'...

Not the wrong fighter, the wrong gameplan. Cotto should of kept up the pressure he got the better of Trout almost everytime. Then he backed off and even outfoxed Trout in the mid rounds, but stopped putting pressure. He looked slower than ever. The times he stunned Trout bad Cotto just let it slide. His killer instinct is gone. This Cotto no where near the one Floyd fought.

If he means by wrong fighter (better fighter) that night anyway, then I can agree with him. However I cant agree with, that simply because he fought a boxer then it was the wrong fighter. Cotto's intellegence as a fighter is such that he should be able to adjust his fight plan and prepare to fight and beat any style fighter. He didn't train properly for the fighter he fought.:bbb
