"to keep boxing alive, we need to see fights like Mayweather vs Pacquiao. And promoters have to start putting better fights on undercards"

If Pac and Mayweather both win, I wonder if Roach would ask for a catchweight in a fight between the two. That would be interesting to see the champ ask the challenger for a catchweight when the champ's trainer openly stated that the challenger is fragile as well as too small and weak for his fighter.

I don't think Pac would fight Mayweather as the WW champ. That title will go straight to the garbage. Pac would likely have a mandatory obligation anyways. Maywaether is fragile and inactive now but that will change if he performs well against Marquez.

Pacquiao is as at a size disadvantage as a WW, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Roach try to level the playing field.

Roach can't ask for a catchweight he's already gone on record saying PBF is small the fight will have to take place at 147 or there will be no fight. Roach screwed Pac with that comment.

The stakes would be infinite cathedral high if Pacquiao goes through Cotto and Mayweather through Marquez for a final showdown. If they put on a good show it could set the world on fire.

on the contrary, if PBF is small like Roach said then there's no reason that the fight should happen at WW

I would have no problem with a catchweight, but you can see how that would make Roach look real bad. He would open himself and his fighter up to all sorts of criticism. Who knows, Floyd could actually wind up being the good guy in that fight.

If JMM don't do it Manny will...
PBF is a shot fighter who is grasping at straws right now.
(His layoff will be his excuse)

Roach means Mayweather is small compared to other welters such as Magarito, Cotto, Mosley etc.

Manny is still small compared to all of them including Gayweather.

Why would he need an excuse if you yourself claim he's shot?

Actually, Roach specifically said that Mayweather is too small for Pac. You also have to consider that both these guys walk around at about 150 lbs., and that both have been coming into their recent fights at around that weight. Let's also not forget that Floyd's next fight will be at a lower weight than Pac's next fight. So if you're questioning Mayweather's toughness by calling him Gayweather, what would you think about Pac if he asked a guy that is supposedly too small for him, walks around at about the same weight as him, and who recently fought at a lower weight than him, to come in at a catchweight when Pac would be a Welterweight champion?

Hold on Pac will be fighting for the second time at welterweight. Mayweather has been at welterweight for about 4 years now. So why wouldn't the fight happen at welterweight.:huh

Remember if manny wanted to fight floyd at 144 this will still be welterweight . But the problem is that catchweight **** wont work on mayweather as he dont struggle with weight like all the big welterweights out there. Mayweather could fight Pac at 140 and still out box him.

All Manny has is a punches chance in hell to beat mayweather. You gonna need more than that. Mayweather will happily go 12 rounds and win a decision.:bbb
